Three posts in this topic about a song that is not the thread single. I get it. You don't like "Vacation." Can't wait to see how many posts you write in the actual "Vacation" thread if it is a single. Edit: I get that the song isn't a masterpiece by any means. Just frustrating to read about someone disliking a song that the thread isn't even about 3 times in one thread. I won't write anything in the thread if it becomes a single.......personally I think everyone has a right to state their opinions about a song on here. Besides I only stated my dislike once and beforehand said what I thought the next single should be. I'm not on here to offend or frustrate anyone so if I did. Sorry Matty wasn't talking about you, he was talking about me lol. I sometimes think the rules on here are a little to "heavy" and open flowing discussion is discouraged (especially when the citizen police force comes out). People frequently discuss the next potential single in the current thread so I wouldn't sweat it.

But I find it odd (and a tad annoying) that the thread is for "T-Shirt" and 3 of your 4 posts are about your dislike for an album track. With that said, now more of my posts are about that the the single itself, so I am contradicting myself. I do actually agree with you that "Vacation" would be an awful single. I just think we can discuss that in it's own thread, if and when that time comes.

What does it say about the state of country music when a song like "T-Shirt" breezes to #1 yet a great song like "My Church" can't even make it to the top 5? And another great song in "Record Year" has been on the charts for almost 20 weeks and isn't even in the top 10 yet. Unfortunately "My Church" is done I'm afraid since they already have announced "80's Mercedes" as the second single. I just don't see them pushing it any higher than top 5 if that with the announcement of the next single.

With Luke coming on strong it will be a push for him to get 2 weeks I think. I think Big Machine will get ''Humble and Kind" to the top next week which for me is a shame since I'd love to see another multi week #1. I think it'd be a shame to see a pretty mundane, radio fluff song like this get 2 weeks at #1 while an introspective smash career hit for Tim McGraw missed the top. I'm all for having more songs get longer stays at the top and it not being endlessly one-and-done, but hoping purely for that to happen just to say that it did, is silly... unless you just feel that strongly about this particular song (but it seems like your post implied that you didn't care what got 2 weeks at #1 so long as something did it). "T-Shirt" has done well, but "Humble and Kind" has been a bigger hit, so if anything I'd say H&K deserved multiple weeks at the top.

Also .indulgecountry let me rephrase what I meant, it'd be great to have a multi week #1. I mean if it was up to me "T-Shirt" and ''Humble and Kind'' would both be multi week #1s but I digress.

The hook on this is addicting! Glad I'm getting into more country music! "Country Radio" offically has hit rock bottom with "T-Shirt" being number 1. This is 100% not country music in any way, shape or fourm and its awful all around. That said, just when you think it can't get much worse I wouldn't be surprised if "Vacation" was the follow up to "T-Shirt". "Vacation" is in a dead heat for worse "Country" song of the year as far as I am concerned. The lyric with coconut water in it makes me want to throw up everytime I hear it. If "Vacation" is the follow up single, probably will hit #1 in less then 20 weeks, when awesome songs like "My Church" or "Head Over Boots" struggle to make top 10. This is the sad reality we all live in now, and it seems to only be getting worse.

I also mean no disrespect but can u honestly quit it with the Thomas Rhett bashing, you've let us known many times your hatred for him and if I'm being honest, it gets tiring after a while.

Yeah but Rhett is the worst, it needs to be known.

I wonder if Valory is trying for a second week at #1 for "T-Shirt"? It's losses are very minimal so far this chart week for Mediabase and are making the song look like it's trying to hang on to the #1 spot or is Valory/BMLG waiting for Tim to reach #2 on Mediabase then let "T-Shirt" really fall then, enough for McGraw to take over this weekend with "Humble And Kind" as it's REALLY getting the stronger push this week as it's got MAX SPINS NOW like it did last week. Luke is still pushing strong but think McGraw will pass him within the next day or 2. Rhett is still about 5 mil ahead on Mediabase as of this morning but still it's only Wednesday and McGraw is really moving up in his audience right now but will it be enough to catch Thomas before Sunday or on Sunday? Remains to be seen.

They're all-in on the push for Tim. Even though Thomas and Valory have sent the next single to radio already, a lot of stations simply weren't ready to drop "T-Shirt", which means we can expect a slower descent. It's similar to what we're seeing with "Somewhere On A Beach" -- a lot of stations seemed to want to keep playing that one in heavy rotation for 1-3 weeks after it had peaked, even though Capitol had already started promoting "Different For Girls" as Dierks' new single. There are songs that radio can't wait to drop -- "Girl Crush" was one, "My Church" is one, "Mind Reader" is one, and "Humble and Kind" will be another -- simply because the songs are either a) really old or b) are researching poorly or have high burn-rates/fatigue scores.

Ya, I realized that they are pushing Tim as evident by the numbers this past few days on the Mediabase Kworb update and etc. I really hope they come through for Tim, his song is my personal favorite of 2016. I am glad the T-Shirt is being ripped apart but slowly haha ;)
