So if we wake the neighBOURRRRS! LOL. I love this song, honestly. The lyrics are "So we'll piss off the neighbors" #oop. It's been added to the playlist. Now, I just gotta test it out. I did the day it came out Oh? You sound like fun.

This is a good song, but I still have no idea what the title means Pillow talk is the relaxed, intimate conversation that often occurs between two sexual partners after the act of sexual intercourse, usually accompanied by cuddling, caresses, and other physical intimacy. It is associated with honesty, sexual afterglow, and bonding, and is distinguished from dirty talk which usually forms part of foreplay. Pillow talk, more broadly may also refer to conversations between parties that may be of a more casual and flirting nature, and are not necessarily engaged in a physical relationship.

Nick Jonas got on the verge with Jealous, I see no issue with Zayn receiving it as well.

I don't necessarily have a problem with it either, but to be fair "Jealous" never had this much momentum and peaked at #8 while this looks like it could debut at #1 next week. The deal should've gone to "YOUTH" tbh.

Didn't expect this to have an 8th Day Effect because it didn't have a massive first full day at radio, but here you go. 47 31 ZAYN Pillowtalk 2404 568 1836 15.445 -68 Spins -605 Bullet -2.294 Audience

ZAYN getting On The Verge is certainly not inconsistent with a program that gave it to Nick Jonas, Andrew McMahon and Nate Ruess (not to mention the songs that already had Chris Brown on them...or the songs from people like Dustin Lynch who already had big radio hits). Ruess is even more egregious since he's the only voice you heard on fun.'s big pop hits.
Additionally, there's a clear "On The Verge" narrative here. The guy who was part of a group - and never necessarily the guy in the center - finally getting to spread his wings and show his true personality and musical identity.
Is it whom the program would be helping in an ideal world? No. But if you look at the program's last few pop selections: Hold Me Up, Love Myself, Nothing Without Love, Nobody Love, Stuck On A Feeling, it's a parade of songs that quickly faded once OTV ended. The program needed the most bankable pick it could justify making; ZAYN fits that bill perfectly.
Plus -- and I say this as someone who has definitely complained about picks before -- there's a slippery slope when you get into intense discussions about who "needs" help or whom should "really" be qualified. Troye Sivan is not ZAYN, but let's not pretend he's as much of an unknown or underdog as, say, a pre-Hide Away Daya. You also have plenty of OTV selections where the song itself -- not just the artist -- was already an international hit and thus had a chance of making waves in the US anyway (Rather Be, Ghost, 7 Years, etc).

Nick Jonas got on the verge with Jealous, I see no issue with Zayn receiving it as well. There's a very clear difference. Nick practically started from zero. Jonas Brothers were never big on radio, but by the time Nick released Jealous they were not big anywhere, the band was pretty much done, and their lattest efforts flopped big time. Zayn on the other hand came from the biggest boyband in the last decade, a boyband that still sells a lot. The hype was not remotely the same

Haven't seen the video yet but...I like the song. I'm not blown away by it but, then again, I was never expecting to be. It's definitely on the level of Nick Jonas but, hey, that's not a bad thing! I feel like Nick is pop with R&B leanings (Chains and Numb are pop, for sure, but still edgy enough to flirt with R&B and get people that shun pop to nod their heads) so if that's the lane that Zayn is cruising down, I'm on board. I'm just glad that I am able to hear his voice distinctly now. Since Malay didn't have a hand in this, I am hopeful that I will enjoy the songs he worked on even more. This. I think it's a nice transition single.
