It's not even her dancing that's bad, it's the choreography. The f**k is this??? The Skechers shoe commercial make a better official video. In part because she's moving her feet in it, and not just raising her hands up and putting them on her hips 100 times while trying to look fierce in a wide shot of her and all her dancers. Wow! They made her look like she can actually dance a little! Man, who is responsible for her music video?! They shoudl at least get the material back to editing and cut the shit out of it!

She looks SO uncomfortable in the video.
I feel like she was trying to look "no" when she just looks "eh"
That Sketcher's commercial is so much better.

Maybe she is uncomfortable because she's forcing a sexual attitude? I don't know why she'd think she needs do that, she was fine just being sassy and natural.

Sorry, tried a few x but this really is a stinker of song lol and (even if the video wasn't getting trashed) still don't think I'll ever wanna see it lol. Was never a fan but def. preferred the first album and sounds/beats waay more than what I think we're gonna get this era.I simply don't get how 2000/01 ish was that hot or unique of an era for music for it to be 'influential' and the possible new trend. Most manufactured, bland era..possibly ever. Def. hasn't aged well. Regardless, still way too soon to even go there. Def. bring me '90s TLC and endless other much more diverse 90s r&b and pop/dance sounds than...this lol. Meghan seems pleasant as a person but def. lacks star quality, personality or anything unique. That said, who knows where this will end up but she oughta be super grateful Adele isn't killing it w/ the new album/singles (aside from Hello).

1999-2001 was an amazing era. Definitely time to revisit it.

But I definitely wouldn't say Meghan is not unique. The "Title" era was extremely unique. The videos were so-so, but she was in her own league really. Not now tho. We shall see what happens next. "NO" is a slight step backwards, imo.

I do like the song, it's even grown over the past couple of weeks. However that video I just watched was... Uncomfortable Like sexy and choreo dancer don't come naturally to her, and that's the main focus of the video? NO! She's done a bit of cute choreo in LAM and even AATB. She could've done something like that or even like the Sketchers commercial The part where she's surrounded by girls is quite uncomfortable to see because she's like a virgin girl going to an orgy doesn't look good and seems forced. She could play sexy in a different way. Missed opportunity for sure It seems that it won't backfire at least (was initially afraid this could be something like Xtina's NMT fiasco) but the video is not that uncomfortable. Could've been much much better

Tha backgrounds reminded me of this at times. Yassss Alanis!! Meghan's video is a third rate version of Rhythm Nation, The Knowledge, Cold Hearted Snake, Most Girls, Feel Your Love, Try Again, and Overprotected.

TBH I feel like the changes to the video wouldn't need to be that drastic in order to improve it. I think the silver coat thing Meghan is wearing in the dance scene does her zero favours, she would look a lot better without it - but if she wanted it for the billow-y coat thing then at least she could have had a black leather duster or something, and not that? The same setting when she's alone on her knees with the camera above her, that I like - again, except for that damn jacket, and I could do without that one shot where the camera is behind her and she's on all fours. That would be an unflattering angle for anyone.
The other dance scene on the catwalk, that is a good look for her with the suit and everything, and the scene with all the bodies piled up around her (a few less gratuitous shots of everyone else though, it serves no purpose). The scene in the red dress, either do more with it or drop it, as it was used it seems unnecessary.
And in general the choreography could have been better.

While I am admittedly also not a fan of this song, I am even less of a fan of discovering harsh sentiments coming from posters who turn out to be permabannees reincarnated.

The artist evolving now even happens overnight. Wasn't she like a nun last week. Can we like have a couple of albums to get use to it. Go back to Mehgan she was tolerable. I don't need another sexed up pop star we have plenty.
At least Mehgan can sing.

The video is fine, except for the scenes where she's wearing that damn coat. Still not a great video or anything, but if those scenes were done better, it would've been pretty solid.

Maybe she is uncomfortable because she's forcing a sexual attitude? I don't know why she'd think she needs do that, she was fine just being sassy and natural. I know, but unfortunately 90% of the people that hate her hated her 60s style music& other things. Lets see.... AATB:"How dare you call people skinny bitches?" (meanwhile it literally says "every inch of you is perfect") LAM:"How dare you tell guys to act that way?" (it literally says to not cheat or be an a**hole) DFH:"How dare you ask guys to treat you nicely?" (bruh. do i even need to explain?) LIGLY:"This is her best song yet" (not saying its bad) No:"No, this is the best by her, but the video& song is still disgusting. How dare she act sexual?" So unfortunately either way she does videos(or messeges for that matter), most people are going to say something bad about it. I feel bad for the 10% of people that don't like her because she isn't their style. The haters need to just quiet :kii:

Just listened to this in full for the first time, and I actually really like this, which I can't say for anything else she put out (DFH burned out too fast and LIGLY got stale)

What was with that awful silver coat in the video? So awkward and this song still sounds too much like her previous songs for me to get on board.

I HATED her first 3 singles but I liked Like I'm Gonna Lose You. But I REALLY like this! Reminds me of old school Destiny's Child/Britney.

We all listen to music differently, but to me this sounds nothing like her previous songs, in terms of production. Her singles from the last album were straight out of the early 1960s, this is from the late 90s/early 2000s. To my ear, there's very little overlap in those sounds.

Now I see your point better. She does do a fair amount of talk-singing. Also, as for the video ... I love Meghan and think she's a fantastic writer and artist, but she needs to drop out of the Mariah Carey school of dancing.

I'm a bit perplexed at this song's middling performance outside of the states. It sounds like such a sure-fire-hit, yet it's only top 10 in seven countries on iTunes? I'm sure they have a ton of international promo planned, but I figured with having a handful of big hits under her belt that this would have taken off by now...
