"No" is the allegedly title of the lead single from Meghan Trainor's sophomore album Thank You, which looks like it has been produced by Ricky Reed. From Idolator:

Shouldn't this be in the CHR/Pop tab?

This will be the true test to see if she's a one album wonder or not. I'm still surprised she did so well with her Title era, but aside from "Dear Future Husband," I've pretty much liked everything I've heard from her so far.

Shouldn't this be in the CHR/Pop tab? Yeah! It should be there. However, there's not any information (yet) that the track has been delivered to radio, so this suits better here (for now). After that happens, this thread could be moved to the aforementioned format.

Pulse exclusive: Out March 4th, according to Meghan.
Source: Straight from her mouth, in-person.
Supposed to be a more urban sound.

I'm pretty confidant that this song will smash, Meghan is the real deal. Great title for a song too.

The success of Title is almost identical to the success of One of the Boys. Expect this to be very well-received and very well-calculated.

I'm always here for new music from Meghan. She definitely has the star power to make her next era completely huge and successful. She is going to SLAY. Can't Wait!

I wonder if Ricky Reed is going to give her some ratchet ass beat.

This "urban sound" idea has me a lot more excited now. I was hoping she'd avoid another doo-wop single. Fantastic contribution!

Glad to see her evolve from that awful doo-wop genre because I think she's talented. All About That Bass ruined that era of music for me (though Lips Are Movin' was a decent homage).

Let me clarify, I got the information because I was there, not because they put it on the website after I rushed to tell you guys. <3

Crazy how objective music really is. I loved her doo wop genre, I thought it was unique, she really had her own little sub genre. I grew up listening to my parents favorite doo wop songs, so there was a little bit of nostalgia there too. I thought she did a great job blending an old genre with the styles of a new generation, especially the songs that she rapped in the bridge. Did you listen the album? My Selfish Heart and walkashame did that pretty well in my opinion. Still, I am here for urban Meghan!! Should still be pretty white but very catchy and fun.

My prediction:
I will like this more than AATB, but not as much as DFH. ;)

Artistically, I think My Selfish Heart was the best (and most underrated) thing she did on Title.
It had everything: the doo-wops at the beginning, the amazing harmonies, great melody, and it had that fun, spunky twist in the post-chorus ("You got my numba babe / Go ahead and call it up").
Something I also liked about that song was its length. You could tell a lot of the songs on Title seemed to be exercises in song concepts than something fully fleshed out -- a lot of songs barely reached past the 3 minute mark. My Selfish Heart had enough substance to carry it to a full 3:42 or whatever it was.

I'm kinda surprised that she's having another album so quickly because LIGLY is still charting, but I guess it makes sense since ABTB came out in 2014 and LIGLY did take a long time to reach its peak
It'll be interesting to see how this charts

I'm so excited for new Meghan Trainor!!! And I can definitely see her doing very well with a more urban sound. Whatever happens, I just hope this song is a jam!

No. Just no. Not more Meghan Trainor. Oh, yes, this musician must immediately stop producing music strictly because you don't like her. Just change stations/don't listen to her music. It's as simple as that. Also, you have posted the same shitty post in three threads recently. Stop. Just stop.

I liked a good portion of her album, but AATB was atrocious and borderline sacrilegious and I cringe whenever I hear it.

I always thought All About That Bass was her best song by far.

It is more viber than any of the songs of her album "Title".
I love this song.
