3 new singles on iTunes last night: "Road Trippin'", "How Not To", and "Obsessed". All 3 are good and I hope "Road Trippin'" is the next single. That song could be a big hit for them.

Woah. This is now #13 on all-genre iTunes. Any reason for this big jump?

I remember being nervous that still was going to stall in the high 20s lol. So glad and relieved that this is doing well. It is moving up a little slower than I had envisioned it to though.

Funny story today regarding this song. I was out with my parents traveling to the local flea markets looking for vintage CD's and as we were traveling home this song was playing on the radio. My mother and father are talking and say this is the best song Hunter Hayes has ever recorded.........lol. Then the more I listened Shay Mooney does kind of sound like Hunter Hayes on this song or either I'm just imagining he does. By the way I did tell them it wasn't Hunter Hayes.

Warner Music will be going for #1 starting this Sunday. From Country Aircheck. I'm almost certain "Head Over Boots" will get the Mediabase #1 this Sunday and I think Jon can pull off Billboard too but Sony has to have their Capitol team push through Sunday for that to happen. Next week is the week "From The Ground Up" will be maxed, so it should be fighting with "Make You Miss Me."

In today's Country Aircheck email they have a construction worker with road signs on the ad for this song plus at the bottom the editors and writers have hard hats on. Are they teasing "Road Trippin'" as the next single?

Glad this is #1 and got a lot of people married off.
Now go away from my radio.

"Road Trippin'" would be the best choice for the NEXT single IMO. It's also my favorite song on their new album. It's very catchy, radio friendly, and will peak it late spring or early summer, which would make for perfect timing. Then they can try something riskier for the 3rd single, like "Obsessed". I think their best bet right now is to parlay the momentum built from this big lead single into a string of hits, if possible.

Congratulations to Dan + Shay for having "From The Ground Up" reaching #1 on Mediabase but now the question is, will it be enough for Billboard?? It seems like Sam Hunt is not far from behind and could have a good gain tomorrow due to the push for Sam starting today which it's first update for his push will be tomorrow's update from today. I am hoping D+S do make Billboard for #1 tomorrow for airplay but too close to call.

I have Dan + Shay as of today at around 45.7 in BB audience. Sam Hunt meanwhile I have projected at 45.2 in BB audience so it will definitely be close and tomorrow's update will be the key deciding factor for who will be #1.

Buzz Brainard said on The Highway this weekend ("On The Horizon") that "How Not To" is the likely next single for Dan + Shay.
It may be an unpopular choice but it's my favorite song on the album, so I'm thrilled. :)

"How Not To" isn't bad, I could live with it. "Road Trippin'" seems like a bigger hit IMO, but it could still work.

I decided to take a listen since I've never heard it. It's very relatable. It's easy to occupy yourself during the day but at night things start popping up in your mind. The only single of theirs I've truly enjoyed is "Nothing Like You". I think this might be my new favorite. Not to mention it's a total ear worm. I think this is another hit in the making.

After last update i think Sam will take #1 on BB. It'll be close, but I still expect Dan + Shay to take Billboard #1. Sure, the published panel has Sam ahead in audience, but the all-stations panel still has Dan + Shay ahead, and that panel seems to be more indicative of what BB looks like, from my knowledge. Wouldn't surprise me if this knowledge is actually wrong though.

Beats Sam Hunt for #1 by 396k in audience.
Really happy to see this at the top. This one has been of my favorites of the year, it's a really beautiful song that still hasn't gotten old despite how much I've heard this for the past 4 to 5 months.
