The "standing with an army" line was casually stuck in my head for like two weeks, but the more I hear the full song, the more I believe that this is the most boring pop single release this decade so far. There isn't a strong hook, the lyrics aren't anything too special, and that one somewhat catchy part doesn't even show up until the two minute mark. I haven't heard the rest of the album, but even if there weren't any other potential hits (which apparently isn't true), this shouldn't have even been thrown out. It's barely filler, and I'm not surprised in the slightest that no one is buying it.

It is a ballad so I get why some may say it's "boring" but it is one of the few songs on the album that actually make me FEEL something. I also had the advantage of seeing her perform it live in concert, which was a moment. I think they were going for a LMLYD type of vibe here, but due to the mediocre to failed success of the singles so far, there's just no momentum for this era. I honestly don't think there's much in terms of better choices for singles on this album... but I've noticed I'm in the minority amongst the Pulse crowd. I'd recommend moving onto a new album within a year.... or as soon as possible. Serve us with a super solid album of 10 songs, quality over quantity this time.

Radio sure stopped supporting her on this album. Shame. I think the label and/or Ellie pulled the plug on this era after OMM, at least in the US. Nothing really clicked with the public in the way they'd hoped. They wanted a Teenage Dream, but got a Lotus. There are some really good songs on the album, so it sucks that they never got a chance to shine.

Coming off her biggest career hit prior to launching this era, I'm stunned that this is what we're left with. Yes, the songs are great, but Max didn't give her his best either.

Ugh. The album did have some genuinely good songs on there that it's so disappointing how the singles were chosen and handled. I do feel that she's recognizable enough at this point though, maybe her next album will be the massive one. Id still like to see one more single at least and then come back with a new album in the spring of 2017.

Since then she's released 3 more albums (counting the Halcyon Days EP) and here we are. At this point I've given up on her being massive in the US but she can sure squeeze in a hit or two every now and then.

The fact that she has any single out now is honestly more than I expected from her back when Lights was blowing up. I would have thought she'd be completely irrelevant by now. Which she kind of is, but not just yet.

Radio sure stopped supporting her on this album. Shame. In fact radio supported Army pretty damn well for a long time considering no one was buying the song... The worry for the label is sales for the last few singles have been shocking, and not just in the US. in the UK part of the problem has certainly been some pretty poor high profile live performances, notably on XFactor, she now tends to get hammered on social media whenever she performs and it is increasingly uncool to like her.

Did "On My Mind" sell that poorly? I thought it sold well.
Maybe because "Something In The Way You Move" is a song people like but not enough to buy. It's very in offensive and good background music but she sounds like a typical white girl singing straight pop music. She's an artist who has to get out there and promote in the US for people recognize her. Internationally she may stand out but in the US she doesn't.
I know this sounds harsh and it's just my opinion but it seems like this with the sales of this cd. I do own this cd and I think "Codes" or "I Don't Need Nobody" could have done better than "Something and Army too".

I agree that Codes and Don't Need Nobody would have been more successful.

I agree that Codes and Don't Need Nobody would have been more successful. Codes slayed live, and Don't Need Nobody/Keep on Dancin are both sonically more interesting while making far more out of her voice's recognizability than SITWYM

Album is just 7 months old, I believe there are coming after keep on dancin' at least one more single, I actually love this album. Around U is my favourite track although I love almost all tracks. Hope Keep on Dancin' slays on charts late summer.
