A bit surprised 'Wildest Dreams' and 'Hotline Bling' are still on it! 'Stand By You' was expected to be the biggest dropper for me but below 'Hotline Bling'? Kinda eerie tbh. Same thing with 'Hello' and 'Stitches'--Even though these 2 are the way better songs in my opinion. 'Company' of all songs to be the biggest jumper? Meh
YASSSSSS at Kelly an Bruno being played as optional extras with their songs <3
Pretty good chart overall!

- Pretty bummed that Wildest Dreams is still here. It kind of makes it look like the debuts aren't so abundant this week.
- Farewell, One Direction. I wonder if they'll still have it once their hiatus is done.
- Stole The Show is likely going to be a one week wonder, and the first we've had in over a year.
- Does anyone think the intro to Sugar sounds a lot like Prayer In C, which happened to be remixed by Robin Schulz.
- Nelly hasn't had a huge hit here since he hit #1 in 2010 with Just A Dream. Seems to me that he's losing his glow.
- Correction: Stitches is at 39 weeks, not 40. But next week!
- Speaking of Stitches, it's a little funny how Same Old Love and Hello will be sure to exit before it does.
- And this chart actually marks exactly five years ago when I first started listening to AT40. I actually missed the first segment of the first hour on the 4/2/11 show, to be honest.

It looks like "Stand By You" will disappear from AT40 next week. Flo Rida getting #1 was expected, and hoping that Selena will be the next #1 song in a couple of weeks.
I love AT40. I still remember finding it on my radio in 2006. The top 2 were on, too bad I can't remember what #1 was. I thought I'd give it a listen the week after, and I have been a fan ever since.

Nine extras in total, which is kind of an intermediate number for AT40 with Seacrest. Fewer than much of the last few years, when the countdown often felt over-automated, but more than earlier, when it often seemed too talky (at least when much such talk had little to do with the countdown or music.) Maybe they've found a "sweet spot"?
Of the two droppers, Ryan speculated a few weeks ago that "Adventure of a Lifetime" could be Coldplay's first top 10, and it barely made the top 40. Another AT40 jinx? And "History" becomes just that, and so might One Direction's chart career (depending on the release of any more singles soon, and how long their "hiatus" lasts; if it's not too long then they could easily come back with more hits.) Zayn, on his own, is top 10 his first time out, something that the group achieved, but that they've only replicated three times since.
Personally, I'm glad to see "Victorious" as the SFB song; if it actually makes the countdown it'll be only the second song from P!ATD to do so, the first of course being "I Write Sins Not Tragedies", which was 10 years ago by now (it may not feel like that long as it's remained a popular recurrent, and in fact was played on AT40 recently.)

And that's been his only huge hit since 2006.
Flo Rida is another hip-hopper who's maintained at least as, and perhaps more impressive, streak of chart longevity, with #1's in four different years (2008, 09, 12, and 16.) As huge a hit as "Low" was in 2008, I probably wouldn't have guessed then that he would still be topping the chart eight years later.

My thoughts on this weeks chart. One I'm focusing on very carefully is "Youth". Really like the song I'm just worried it won't crack the Top 20. I'm really surprised about "Company" taking the big leap. I'm really proud for "Victorious", my favorite song right now. I hate that Coldplay is gone already and I like their new hit "Hymn For The Weekend". And one thing I don't get is that "Hello" is ahead of "Stitches" dropping wise??? I think Flo Rida will spend 2 weeks at the top. "Cake By The Ocean" I think is done and won't go any higher. And I wish "One Call Away" would just crack the Top 10 already. Lol. All in all a pretty good chart this week. Those were my thoughts on this weekends AT40. :)

Good call. Ryan mentioned that when introducing the song, making them the biggest comeback act so far of 2016, beating out Mike Posner.

I think Nelly was on AT40 this winter with "The Fix". It only peaked at 31, so it wasn't too massive
