PopJustice says Britney's gone Trap with this.
And I'm reading on BH about the user Timothy from PJ who's leaked info the past few years, says it was described as "alternative pop with a HEAVY beat". Also there is absolutely no Max Martin or Roccstar tracks on the new album.

Trap? I'm not gonna listen to any of these descriptions until I hear the song for myself. "Pretty Girls" was described as urban and trap too but that song was really just straight-up pop with some urban influences. I really think this new song is gonna be hot tho. For once she's talking like she knows what she has been doing wrong lol. She's ready!!!!!!! I'M READY.

I think you misunderstood the info from PopJustice. I mean, it's mentioned that Britney indeed recorded some trap inspired songs, but this isn't one of them. However, the 'alternative pop with a heavy beat' refers to the lead single, which I assume it means to this track.

Alternative, quirky pop is absolutely Britney's lane and I am beyond excited!! Yeah I did. The way I read it over on BH was that Britney went trap on the lead.

“The single and the video will thrill fans because it’s all new, totally different and somewhat unexpected. It’s different; it’s a turn. She's gone from pretty straight-forward pop to a really interesting vibe with a lot of really cool stuff."Did Britney write this? Anyway, in before the lyrics are "ooh baby, move baby, make me ooh baby, like you do baby" and it being a carbon copy of Good For You. LMAO. I'll take it.

Sounds like a Janet song title.
Why is it so far away?

I don't read into the 'info' much but if it's indeed The Weeknd-inspired I think I'll die immediately and won't witness its ascent to the top of my fave Godney songs.

I'd be more than happy if it is a carbon copy of Good For You. It's still one of my favorites off of Selena's album

Fuck BURNS. I'm not about to get excited if she's coming back with ARTPOP rejects.
Hope that's just a really stilly coincidence.

My two cents.
She is going to perform at BBMA, she won't perform live of course, but she is going to knock it out of the park. She's on point right now with her dancing and those used to her stale, awkward, and bad performances are going to be surprised, I also think she will be bringing naughty Brit back.
As for whether the song is going to be a hit, I think the odds are against it right now. I hope it's a great song and she does all kinds of promotional performances. It's time for a VMA performance.

The song will be a hit, because Britney is smart. She listens to people. She doesn't have that artistic rebellion desire to do what she wants creatively. She's selective with her songs, but unlike Rihanna, listens when her team recommends something. Pretty Girls flopped, because it was a s**t song. She's running a big machine, and a lot of people make money off her. She listens to the people that want to keep it running at full speed and her Vegas show sold-out. Coming off a s**t album and a s**t single, I feel that we may be entering the best Britney era to date.

I doubt the era is going to be more successful than the Femme Fatale era on Pop. Let's start with one Top 10 and work from there. And that's a big if that she can do that even.
Tho on the Hot 100, I can see her easily getting a Focus-type debut.
It's funny, I know so many gay guys in their mid-20's and their favs are Rihanna and Britney.

Femme Fatale was very successful for her, so it will be hard to reach that level again, Britney can do it if she actually has time to promote her work since she can garner good sales and radio play. Streaming might be her weakness.

Take the following with a grain of salt, which is from the PopJustice forum. And when someone asked if it's danceable (in regards of the midtempo), that poster replied the following. I'm not getting hyped.
