CSTF used to climb up by the tenth on AI, but now it just slows down that much after its eighth day? It has to compete with old airplay. The chart rolls on a week long rotation. If it's seeing a daily increase, it's also seeing an increase from the week prior. Last week was the song's first week so it had nothing to hold it back from getting monster updates. Now it does since we're in the song's second week. |

the increase/decrease update is essentially that day's airplay minus the airplay of 7 days prior, and in the case of a song that has been on radio for less than a week, the airplay for 7 days prior is zero.

Without non-Tidal streaming, I'm thinking Beyonce's "Sorry" pretty much lost its chance at hitting the top ten. Joins "Ring the Alarm" as a #11-peaker for her.
Meanwhile I read that Adele's "Send My Love" is the next single for her and a video is premiering at the Billboard Music Awards May 22. Since this is (in my opinion), the most "radio-friendly" song on the whole album, I'm hoping that they can resuscitate "25" to have another top ten (or even #1?). I'm hoping they do the full-court press with a release to streaming and maybe even a radio deal too?

I would think so too, but then again, I think we've been trained to think one way about these exclusives... so i'm just entertaining the possibility of an out-of-the-norm here. Certain artists are able to bend the norms and a hypothetical Adele/Drake collabo sounds like prime material that someone would want to premiere, exclusively. This Friday would be perfect timing for an iHeart exclusive remix, imo. And I don't think it would be too late even after the album version became a big radio hit. The only qualifiers for exclusives: A) exclusive, never heard before, and B) worthy. It doesn't have to be a lead single or even done when the single is initially launched. This whole thing is just hypothetical, I'm not honestly thinking it's going to happen. Although I'd LOVE to hear it. |

It just strikes me as unlikely for Adele to ever do the remix thing. The most I could see is a duet style take on a song with another singer (not rapper) or something like a piano-only version like Kelly C did with Piece by Piece.
