Wow, this is so much better than I was expecting. I'm not really familiar with Pink's music at all, but she sounds amazing on the chorus. Makes a lot more sense for Chesney to delay his album now having heard this song, as I have little doubt it will hit #1. I don't know if I like it as well as some of the singles from his last album (it's a bit AC leaning for my tastes), but it's miles better than Noise.

is this her first act in country song? She did an Americana album as a part of "You + Me": "Rose Ave.". (which is pretty solid) I'll consider this sound as greater Country, so the answer is aye and nay. Obviously, no, if Country = Contemporary Mainstream (2016-sound that charts on Billboard Airplay). It always depends on the definition.

0 36 KENNY CHESNEY Setting The World On... f/P!nk 1532 0 1532 36 -- KENNY CHESTY Setting The World On... f/P!nk 1532 -- 1532 -- 11.311 Huge deal indeed. Kenny's song with Pink got the same treatment as two recent Sony Music Nashville singles ("Smoke Break", "Vice"). Hourly airplay started late on Thursday...then all day Friday. Miranda's was a Monday debut (so not exactly the same) though, while Carrie's was a carbon copy of Kenny's. This should debut in the top 30 on Billboard and is already guaranteed a top 35 placement on Mediabase.

An identical release strategy for Carrie's 'Good Girl' on 2-23-12 netted her a solid #37 debut on CT40 and a robust debut @ #30 in Billboard, so look for somewhat similar opening numbers for this tune as well.

This is just OK for me. Nothing too special about it. B level writing with an enjoyable yet forgettable sound.
Maybe it will grow on me, but for now it's a solid "meh".

I love this. I'm a big fan of both artists, but I wasn't sure how they'd blend together. This is way better than I could have hoped for though. I love the lyrics to the song, and think that Kenny and Pink share the lead enough to make it a true duet. I'll be expecting this to fly pretty quickly to #1.
Between this and "Vice", July has been a great month for superstar single releases.

This is definitely an improvement over "Noise" which I had actively gone out of my way to avoid. Should be a big hit for Kenny.

LOVE THIS! Probably my favorite single from her in a long time. Yes, it's his but she's included. I want her new album to be like this! Mixed with gospel and blues.

Nice debut in MediaBase at #32. I'm expecting top 25 in Billboard.

I listened to "STWOF" 3 times in the last 12hrs. For me there is no other way to say it but this song is awful. The vocals are bad, the lyrics are cheesy and its not even a little bit country. This is neck and neck for worst Chesney songs for me, and "Noise" is on that list too. This will for sure get the album released, I wouldn't be surprised if "STWOF" was top 15 before the album is released and is number 1 in 10-12 weeks. As far as I am concerned its just not a good song at all, very disappointed.

I'm not a fan of Pink or Chesney, but this is so good.
Pink sounds absolutely stellar, and this has such a great vibe to it.
I think this is going to be a massive hit.

Loving this! Ive listened to it at least 5-10 times a day since its release. :) I was away camping, woke up, and got to hear it for the first time. Jammed to it when I could, as family was around a lot of the time. Its not that country, I agree...but I love it. I hadnt heard ANY Kenny Chesney up until this point, but I definitely love this duet.

Already top 25 on country radio. This is a bit misleading due to its inflated debut last Friday. It will suffer the 8th-day hangover and likely fall well out of the top 30 by the time the chart finalizes on Sunday, and take a few days to recover.

Their voices sound great together. I'm sure this will be a hit. That said it doesn't really have much emotional resonance in my opinion and feels like a gimmick to me, with no real reason for the collaboration - like most of the other recent country singer/pop singer duets.
When I think of duets, I think of songs like When I Get Where I'm Going, Hillbilly Bone and Find Out Who Your Friends Are. Those songs really hit a home run for me as they had something to say or were just a lot of fun.
I don't see this song getting much play a year out.

Those songs really hit a home run for me as they had something to say or were just a lot of fun. Lumping "Hillbilly Bone" together with "When I Get Where I'm Going" is a crime. . This cracked me up, but reminded me of the beauty of the Country music genre. It CAN be stupid, funny (Hillbilly Bone) and move you to tears (WIGWIG...heh wig, wig) or just remind you of friends (FOWYFA). I think we all get so caught up in wanting to hear the "good stuff" (not so subtle Kenny Chesney reference) that we forget the best part of this genre is it can take someone through the gauntlet of emotions unlike any other one can. Now, that's not to derail the thread, because I find that I actually really like Pink (or is it P!nk? I've seen it both ways) on the chorus. I don't think this song will have the staying power of a crossover duet like Don't You Wanna Stay did/does, but I do think this song will be big this year. It's just got enough of an "event" feel to it. i expect this to be all over the pop and country award shows this year.

Nice debut on the Hot 100 for Kenny Chesney and Pink:
Just below the Hot 100's top 10, Twenty One Pilots make a 15-11 flight with Suicide Squad soundtrack song "Heathens," which surpasses its prior No. 14 peak, fueled by buzz of the movie's Aug. 5 opening in North American theaters; Charlie Puth's "We Don't Talk Anymore," featuring Selena Gomez, hits the Hot 100's top 20 (22-19); and Kenny Chesney's country-pop blend "Setting the World on Fire," featuring P!nk, debuts at No. 29, powered by its No. 2 entrance on Digital Songs (93,000), marking both Chesney's first Digital Songs top 10 and his career-best sales week for a song.

I have to say I totally love this song, both Kenny Chesney and Pink sound good (a tad bored) but the production really makes me fall in love with this, it reminds me of "El Cerrito Place" one of my all time favorite Kenny Chesney songs.
For all of you guys who aren't familiar with Pink's music. She had a hit single called "Try" in 2012 and in terms of overall music it is among my favorite songs of all time.

Considering it debuted at #22 on the airplay chart, that would be a given.

True. I guess I was just shocked/disappointed that when I saw it last time it was #9, and it's now #24.
