Is it safe to say the song peaked and is probably just gonna cling around the 30s?

Ugh this is such a good song. #374 on iTunes - they need to discount it on iTunes and perform it on TV (although people have been saying this for weeks and...)

Although this didn't peak as high as "Make Me...", I think this chart run has been more exciting. With "Make Me...", it pretty much peaked the first week because of the radio deal. With this however, it has been climbing for nearly 7 weeks (albeit slowly) and still isn't done yet. If this can at least make the top 25, I'll be happy.

Quite a frustrating situation indeed Especially considering the wasted opportunities to promote this single. Do you wanna come over received much more promo than this. I'm sure if she had included this somewhere (maybe even in the carpool) this could've been a bigger hit

The problem is definitely no one knowing this even exists. And never will for that matter. A measly ~2000 spins compared to top hits getting 15,000+? No discount. No attempt to promote it a national audience. Such a shame, one of her strongest tracks in YEARS. I'm glad I'm able to enjoy it personally though, just frustrating.

There is no doubt in my mind that if this got an iTunes discount and some promo, even half of what Make Me got, that it would be the hit we need for the Glory era to continue. Frustrating indeed.
On another note, I've actually grown to like the version with Tinasha better than the original, surprisingly enough. Her contribution was initially pretty unimpressive to me, but I think it actually helps to build anticipation and adds a subtle layer of excitement to the last chorus.

I mean, they could've easily made it 69 cents this week, filmed a performance at the Axis to play at the Peoples Choice Awards and bam. Promo. Minimal effort, too. But nope... they are doing absolutely nothing. I don't get it.

Heard this in Dallas and at a pub type bar yesterday. It sounds so good on radio and at the bar. Shame on radio not supporting it, will call out scores help?

I love this song too much for it to flop so easily. Jive needs to do something.

Britney needs to get off her ass and promote. I don't know what the hell she, her team, and RCA are doing. It's like they could not give a fuck about this entire project. Between Make Me unjustly dying, waiting nearly 3 months to put out a fucking 2nd single, putting out a video and then basically doing no other promotion for it (despite opportunities), and having a clear potential hit with SP and squandering the opportunity.
Meanwhile, her and Tinashe had a routine for the Jingle Balls that they could've (and still can) easily perform on any award show or TV show. Yet, there's nothing. No 69 cent discount, no performances, no appearances, no radio interviews, nothing.
The song and album are dead on iTunes because no one knows about the song (how could they? all it has is 1700 spins a week) and the album hasn't been promoted in months. They couldn't even send this for fucking adds on Rhythmic or Hot AC. I don't get it. Do they not care about this album? Because it sure seems like it.
I want a single #3, but what's the point if they are just gonna send it out with just a video and nothing else? Britney's never gonna have a hit again unless they actually try. You can't just throw a single out there and act like it's gonna magically become a hit if you don't do anything for it.

I feel like a broken record but the PCA's are this week... 9 million viewers... she has a Vegas show that night. How hard would it be to get Tinashe real quick this week and perform SP at the Axis, record it, and show it at the PCA's? They don't even have to put a ton of effort into this shit, and they still don't do it.

isn't this update though because of the AT40 rolling effect from last weekend?

isn't this update though because of the AT40 rolling effect from last weekend? The bullet, yeah, but it still lost -16 spins compared to last Sunday. It has a +14 real time today so far, so... yeah. The best I guess we can hope for at this point is that it just keeps chugging along really slowly and hangs around the high 20's, low 30's for a couple more weeks just for some longevity. It doesn't look like it's going to break out any further unless there's some crazy unforeseen circumstance. Also depends if they are doing a single #3. If they are, then just rush release it in a few weeks, if not, just let SP chug along. This whole project didn't deserve this. Glory is so good, yet it's being wasted. Sucks because now this is two flop albums in a row for Britney. But the issue is that if Britney and RCA actually TRIED with these projects, I'm convinced they could do well, but just like with Britney Jean, they mostly just the whole thing go to waste. She can't sell based off of her name anymore, which isn't surprising -- she's a female popstar 20 years into her career, it's bound to slow down sometime. But with that, you need to combat with getting Britney out there and making them remember how good she is. They aren't doing this. + the SP video was SO GOOD. That should've been shoved down people's throats. The video literally premiered two days before the AMA's. You're telling me they couldn't wait two days and premiere it there infront of 10 million+ viewers?

Britney still gets viewers and eyes on her. I would think if she could pull off a performance of this and it may actually help it out. I'm not sure if "Make Me" really did much for the song. I remember liking G Eazy and her singing "Me Myself And I" best from it. It doesn't help "Make Me" all that much then. lol.
I haven't seen her perform "Slumber Party" yet but if Tinashe outshines her to much it won't help the song. I feel like a lot of people would just highlight the fact Britney looked washed up or something and hardly pay attention to the song. I'm a fan of Britney so I'm not trying to be mean but I feel like that's what happens with her current live performances. She gets overshadowed by everything it seems...

To be honest, I just think the problem is the material. She needs singles that are actually catchy. Really catchy and well produced. Because these two singles from "Glory" are just decent songs. Not her worst singles ever or anything, but far from Britney's best.

^ Disagree. IMO Make Me is one of Britney's best songs ever. This song isn't of my favorites, but I still think it's catchy and really good. I'm honestly surprised neither of them got radio support...

Not her worst singles ever or anything, but far from Britney's best. I've struggled with this opinion, but mostly agree. Glory is really good, but these aren't single-ready tracks. Make Me's chorus was weak, the verses are too quick and not easy to sing along to. Best thing about it are the melodies in her adlibs. Slumber Party is amazing and would've worked on radio but there's no push. Tinashe was completely unnecessary as well. I'm shy to think she weighed down Brit's prowess. The good thing is both of these songs reached standard Britney territory for stallers. So CHR still thrives for her, and will until she hits late 30s/early 40s. But yeah, she's gonna need songs that POP on radio - whilst MM/SP just kind of slithered on. But again I stress I'm personally enjoying spinning the album on my own. Just want my girl to get back ahead of the curve, especially while she's motivated. As we all know 2008-2015, we got rare bits and pieces of what she's been exuding consistently, lately.

Not her worst singles ever or anything, but far from Britney's best. I agree. What she needs is a "return to roots" song, like a total rehash of BOMT or HIAM. What she doesn't need is an experiment of a new sound without promo behind it. Won't stick. If they refuse to promote, then she needs something immediately familiar.
