I see Closer starting to start decreasing sometime in early October, and even then it'll still have a huge lead over Heathens/Cold Water/Other.

I doubt it will decrease that soon. Once AC picks it up (and that format usually takes its sweet time) I can see it breaking 200m AI and staying up there for a few more weeks.

I can see Sia's "The Greatest" battling for the top spot in the future. Airplay is climbing nicely with a week until it officially goes for adds, #17 on US spotify and the video is still getting a lot of views.

It will depend on how long Pop keeps spinning it. Its rising so fast that it will peak within a couple of weeks at Pop, so the question is whether it will flatten out there for awhile or if it will start decreasing once it peaks.

Hot AC is where it can still gain a lot (another 30 million impressions) assuming it does well there. That's more it can get than by topping the AC chart (which I'm not sure it will do anyway).

I think it will stay at the top on Pop for a while like Cheap Thrills. They're not going to stop playing a song doing this well in sales and streams, and it's not there's bad callouts or something to make Pop want to drop it as soon as it peaks.

I'm not quite sure The Weeknd has the star power needed to unseat Closer.  Maybe at the end of its run when it's really weak, but not during the next couple months at least.  He was pretty popular last year, but not consistently huge for years like Bruno Mars or Taylor Swift.

Even though he's just had one hit album, he's a very big star. I would actually say his best week of hitting #1 now would be his opening week, but that's much less likely because it was released in the middle of the tracking period. That was an odd choice to release it on a Wednesday night btw. Maybe it was a last minute decision because they got word that another very, very big star will release tomorrow and they don't wanna get overshadowed by that? Here's looking at you Bruno, Katy, Taylor, etc....

It was released one day before the start of the tracking period. He could get to #1, even debut at #1 if he had a lead in sales, which he doesn't.
