Not surprised at all by 24K. It sounds incredibly disjointed for radio. But Starboy? I'm not quite sure what's happening there.

So 24K Magic is suffering the same fate as CSTF, in peaking not long after it debuts. EXACTLY what I was worried about. That's the kind of thing that you're prone to when you debut so high. It so does not deserve this. This sucks.

After 30 years of collecting chart data I'm retiring. The charts do not reflect on music I purchase these days. I know and like about10% of the charts. Where it used to be 85%. It's a sad thing to me because it was a fun hobby.

Why did Starving tumble 12 - 19 over the past two weeks? It seems like it's making some solid airplay gains, so how badly did it drop in other categories? Does it still have a chance for top 10? Sure hope it does...

People retiring from following the charts happens all the time. I've been trying myself but something always sucks me back in.

My friend Eric had 25+ years of Billboards in his house. He hit his mid-40s and didn't like the music anymore so he stopped subscribing.

I've been reading Billboard since August 1983. The magazine is in shambles. They have cut back on so much that I just do an online subscription now.

It actually fell 14-19 over the past two weeks and this past week it had gained in points. A rebound in the Top 15 seems quite likely, but hitting the Top 10 isn't gonna happen.
