Although at least it looks like there is some original material interspersed between the classic hymns! The first disc is comprised of hymns, while the second disc has nothing but original material.

Yay new Reba! I'm not religious at all but I like religious music and I think Reba will knock it out of the park! Looks like a good selection of Hymns and the originals should be good too considering her overall taste in choosing material. I already know I love "God And My Girlfriends" so I can't wait to hear Reba's!
I wonder if "There Is A God" is the Trent Willmon/Lee Ann Womack song? I think Reba can do it justice but I've never cared for it all too much from either artist so I'd be happier if it's not another version of it lol

^ Softly and Tenderly will be on iTunes tomorrow (it's really pretty) and a new song is going to be released each Friday. Just listened to "Softly And Tenderly" on Spotify. It really is awesome!!! The production is top-notch, and all 3 women sound great. In fact, Reba even sounds like she is in her 40s again I mean she has always sounded great, but for some reason her voice sounds even younger and more rejuvenated than normal. Like if you told me this song was from the Room To Breathe era, I wouldn't even question it.

Not a religious person by any means but I do like some religious music (provided it has a country bent to it), so if that's what I'm getting with new Reba music, then I will certainly oblige. I'm excited to hear her take on some of those classics and I'm definitely looking forward to the new material.
I wouldn't be surprised if "There Is a God" is the song Trent Willmon and Lee Ann Womack previously recorded just based on the subject matter since it would certainly fit. I'm in the minority that loved that song though... Lee Ann's version, anyway.

It was her most recent single release around the time I joined Pulse and I can remember it wasn't a popular one with most folks, lol. I love it though because I think her vocals and the production on it are just simply beautiful. It's in the middle for me in terms of her songs -- not the bottom, but not at the top either.

OK I posted this info about Reba's new album and somehow it's gone now? Here it is again. Well, either way it was already posted yesterday before you mentioned it anyway, so no harm done. The live performance in that tweet is neat though!! :)

Artist: Eagles Album: Lives of Outlaw Men: Live Pop Gala 1973 & California Jam 1974 Label: Iconography Release date: January 13, 2017
With the death of Glenn Frey last year, the future of the Eagles remains cloudy at best. But fans can look back this next year rather than look forward with the release of a single album featuring live performances from the early 70's- many with contributions from Jackson Browne.
Shortly before the worldwide release of Desperado in April 1973 the Eagles, while touring Europe, performed at the Sporthal de Vliegermolen in Voorburg, Holland on 10th March. Recorded for a Dutch TV broadcast, the band played a rip-roaring set for 50+ minutes, including a storming 11 minute version of the classic, debut album cut "Witchy Woman." Don Henley and Glenn Frey wanted the band to break away from the country rock style and move more towards a harder-edged sound, and turned to Bill Szymczyk to produce. Requiring a rawer guitar sound, the band brought in Don Felder, a guitarist who had jammed backstage with them in 1972 when they opened for Yes in Boston. The Eagles played at the California Jam festival in Ontario, California on 6th April 1974. Attracting more than 300,000 fans and billed as "the Woodstock of the West Coast". Portions of the show were telecast on ABC television in the United States, exposing the Eagles to a much wider audience.
Felder missed the show when he was called away to attend the birth of his son, but Jackson Browne filled in for him on piano and acoustic guitar. The group played a short 20 minute set at the festival and these tracks are also included on this project.

New Shania album in the Spring: No definitive date but we have late Spring - I'm assuming around the time she headlines Stagecoach the album will be out. The album is done. New single next month? Interesting set of producers. We knew about Jake Gosling and Matthew Koma, but Ron and Jacquire are new to the mix. Like previous albums, she didn't go the tradtional country producer route. I know in a previous interview with iHeart she said Matthew and Shania worked on some acoustic driven stuff. Glad to hear there will be some upbeat "attitude" songs too. I was worried that it would be all ballads. Which, I wouldn't mind (after 14 years, new Shania music is new Shania music), but the absence of upbeat songs would've been a complete departure from her past. Full article
