If we wanna talk about pop chart performance, Rihanna's ANTI. Love On The Brain was the last single and was the highest charting song from her album on Pop. LOTB peaked at #3 on Pop and Work peaked at #8. Now the Hot 100 is a different story...

Thriller - Michael Jackson I know this song is huge but I wouldn't call "Thriller" Thriller's biggest single. I think "Billie Jean" and maybe even "Beat It" are just as big or even bigger. I don't know now that I'm typing this i'm not as sure...... lol "Thriller" has the video and Halloween but I think "Billie Jean" with the "glove" and the "moonwalk" is a little bigger,

One clear winner here Even upon its release, the Thriller video was the longest and most expensive ever made to that time which helped propel t he album back to #1

Disagree. Thriller has been a chart hit many times over since the 80s. Billie jean and Beat it have not.

Just thought of this one, dunno how I forgot about it before:
Despite Remember the Name being better remembered by most people, Where'd You Go, the third single off Rising Tied by Fort Minor peaked at #4. Each single actually peaked higher then the subsequent one, with Petrified bombing hard and not charting, Remember the name peaking at #66, and Where'd You Go hitting the top 5.

Rihanna: Good Girl Gone Bad: While "Umbrella" was the biggest hit, "Don't Stop the Music" was the second to last single and did better than "Shut Up and Drive", "Hate That I Love You" and "Rehab" Rated R: "Rude Boy" was the 3rd out of 5 singles and did better than them all. How does that fit at all what the topic post asked? None of those are last singles.

You could argue “The Greatest Love of All” was the biggest hit off Whitney’s debut album, though it had other #1s as well.

“Tha Crossroads” was the final single from that Bone Thugs album wasn’t it?
Busta Rhymes often only released a couple singles per album, which helps him fit here. “What’s it Gonna Be?” from its album is an example. I think it happened 1-2 more times, too, including with “I Know What You Want.”

We may have a new nominee: Girls Like You. I don’t see anything being bigger, and that’s IF anything is released after.

Rihanna stans working overtime to make her relevant to this thread. How are they working hard to make her relevant though..? The title question was about albums where the last single became the biggest hit. "LOTB" was not a bigger hit than the multi-week #1 "Work," so it's not relevant to this thread. That poster tried to make it relevant by bringing up one airplay chart. Now the same thing happened in a different thread here. That is another time where a Rihanna fan makes a reply about her that isn't relevant to the topic question.

But the first post of the thread didn't specify which chart now did it? The poster used the CHR radio chart to show that LOB was the biggest hit there going top 3 while on another chart (HOT 100) it was a totally different story. What if they wanted to use the UK, the ARIA charts etc..
That isn't working overtime and your coming across as a little shady

That isn't working overtime and your coming across as a little shady That's my point; searching to find some chart to make the point work is working OT to bring Rihanna into the thread. Most people are going to refer to the Hot 100 or some main chart from a country, not an airplay format chart. Yes, I was being shady in that I was pointing out Rihanna stans were trying to make her relevant to the thread instead of just answering the topic question. And one of them did it again in that other thread.

jenglisbeIsn't that all that we do. Don't we try to find some unique cases after the most obvious ones have been stated to further build conversation and not be repetitive?

Arguably, "Delicate" from reputation. It doesn't have the peak of "...Ready for It?" and of course at it's peak "Look What You Made Me Do" was bigger, but it's having much better longevity. On the radio charts it did outpace all other singles though.
