My AC station just started playing it. I looked at Mediabase and it's at #16. I wasn't expecting AC to start playing it this soon. I do see it as a top-ten, but not top five, though.

The song itself has a mushy-gushy theme similar to "You're Beautiful". Remember how quickly AC added that song in late '05 - early '06?
I think "Hey There Delilah" might have been delayed a little longer in getting adds at AC because Plain White T's are really more of a punk-pop band; and this song was getting more attention at CHR and Hot AC than regular AC when it was released.

Oh no. There's nothing mushy gushy about this song. It's pure genius. Simple pop melody and instantly appealing lyrics.
