Holy f**k! At least my two remaining top 10s were the top 2. That was painful, losing 5 top 10s in a row for 15-11.
Apparently I'm fairly alone in my taste for Belgian Vocal Trance

Apparently I'm fairly alone in my taste for Belgian Vocal Trance We lived through and experienced most if not all of those songs the first time around so we definitely have more nostalgia and fondness for those ones. I like how the majority of those songs have a melancholy element to their melody and productions. I like the emotional Trance songs. Thanks for hosting Disco! Can't wait for the next round! I'm debating on whether to do Vol. 2 of this next or Vol. 2 Eurodance one. I have tentative lists for both. Some of the former was mentioned in the announcement post at the beginning. I also am trying to gather a list of songs for a "best remixes rankdown."

20. I'll fly with you (21): I still don't know which mix is the one I got in a CD that I asked a DJ to burn for me on demand back in early 00s. That version is the one I really really like. It wasn't the Blah edit, which felt Blah-er than the one I like 19. Gia (31): this was a first listen and I wasn't too fond of it. I liked the foreign sound, but I've enjoyed many more songs with that sound in time that this didn't feel that special 18. Touch me (20): good discovery :) 17. Sing it back (10): always been a fan. The disco and dance sound worked pretty well. A top 5 in my personal chart 16. Red alert (30): production is good but there are some BJ songs where the vocals annoy me and this is one of them 15. Something (3): !!!! I've always loved the melancholic vocals and the intense music behind this song. I'm all in for these dance songs that transmit emotions! Sad to see it outside the top 10 :( 14. Diving (16): another pretty good discovery! Thanks! 13. Toca's miracle (12): great memories from this one! Love it 12. Heaven (14): a number one in my personal chart. I'm a big fan of the original, and this one did a pretty good job. I could've ranked it higher but ended up giving more points to more original songs in this RD 11. As the rush comes (22): my ranking was likely affected by being a first listen to me...

10. Groovejet (7): like Sing it back, I love the dance and disco vibe, and here Sophie elevates the song even more (I love Sophie!!) 9. Blue (8): so listen up, here's a catchy song that got stuck in my brain since the first time I heard it. I like all of it, with no shame :) another personal chart topper with great memories attached to it 8. Days go by (28): I like the instrumental but have always felt it lacked more punch both in vocals and in instrumentals. Like it enough but just not as much as others 7. Sandstorm (2): a classic!!! It's epic and almost like a movie soundtrack. It always grabs my attention and compels me to pay attention to it. One of the best dance tracks I've heard from that era. 6. Around the world (18): I had this in my top 10 for some time. I like the first half of it a lot but then it sort of starts to feel too repetitive, that's why I ended up ranking it lower... I didn't know about the Russian connection! 5. Castles in the sky (13): similar to #6, this was in my top 5 for a while but ranked it lower due to it feeling a bit repetitive 4. It feels so good (9): another strong song. Despite my 5-position difference, I'm happy to see it top 5 :) 3. One more time (6): strong song for sure but I'm happy that it didn't top this ranking :) 2. Rapture (5): I had this at #2 for awhile. Great, dynamic, catchy, dance pop song with a good vocal performance as well. Classic! 1. Better off alone (1): P-P-P-PERFECT RANKING!!!! This IS one of two songs that I consider THE representatives of this 1995-2004 era of dance music (the other one wasn't in this RD). Both made me very interested in exploring other dance songs, including buying cds, asking acquainted DJs to burn CDs, downloading mp3s, etc. Plus it also brings memories to first night outs at gay clubs long car drives playing this one at highest volume, etc. LOVE.IT!
