Meh it's ok, cute song but definitely sounds like album filler. They really should just push Ready For It which sounds more single worthy.

It's... fine. The lyrics aren't great but it's a pleasant enough song to listen to. Definitely not single worthy though.

The instrumental sounds like MIDI playback of The Knife's "Heartbeats" through a Gateway 2000 with some 1989 snares thrown on top. If it's between this and "Ready For It," "Ready For It" has my vote.

Swifties are going to be doing a lot of deflecting, back tracking, and p*ssy popping this era.

It's cute, but not a single material in my opinion. She should (still) push "...Ready for It?" instead of this or release another song as the next single.

I think is pleasant, but it just doesn't scream single. It's a good album track. Of the 3 songs we have heard so far, I like this less, but I like all 3. LWYMMD > RFI > G That riff reminds me of an 80s song, but I can't pinpoint exactly which one. Certain part of the bass and synths in the intro and occasionally throughout remind of Madonna's "Over and Over".

the worst of the 3 by far. This is the 2nd single? If it was great would it be?

Swifties are going to be doing a lot of deflecting, back tracking, and p*ssy popping this era. reception is poor, so downgraded to a promo single, even tho "the timing is perfect", etc...

First verse is so strong. Chorus is cute. Her songwriting is the weakest it's ever been so far, which is shocking because she has improved every single album.

What if the plan was to release a subpar promo track to make RFI look more appealing as the 2nd single? #CalculatedAF :sip2:
In all seriousness though wtf this is weak.

I'd be very surprised if this is the second single. It's cute and I like it, but expect it's just another promotional single. I still think we'll get the second single announcement shortly after the album is released.

Oh... 😕
Is it too late to pull a "Radar" and release "How You Get The Girl"?

1. No one said this is is a radio single. It won't be. 2. I really really hope this isn't an album highlight. I really like this and I'm bopping but it's far from being a great track. The pre-choruses are mediocre to say the least. But it's catchy.
That being said, it's still SO much stronger than "Welcome To New York" which is just my bottom in Taylor's songs. As long as there are no songs as terrible as that then I'm happy.

Yeah this is on the mediocre side. The verses are alright, but it never really goes anywhere worthwhile. Every track on Red rips this to shreds.

I was feeling it at first but it doesn’t go anywhere, so what was pleasant turns mediocre pretty quickly. And the lyrics are weak. Production is predictably slick tho.

It’s fun, I actually enjoyed it but I agree with everyone else - not single material. Those fans hyped it up way too much - especially the supposedly huge chorus. Hopefully it remains an album track. I still have hope, though. Someone said her choruses are huge and I agree, but if you think about it, all of the choruses of the three released tracks from 1989 before it was released all had the weaker choruses of the album

Least favorite of the three tracks so far. This feels like she's trying too hard to be quirky and cute. The chorus is decent enough, but the verses sound so watered down and bland. Lyrically, this song is a mess and definitely below par for Taylor.
It's catchy enough to slide by as an album track, but I am seriously questioning this as a single choice, even without hearing any of the other tracks. Assuming it is an official single and not just a promo track, of course. (But with LWYMMD losing life faster than Magikarp and RFI's release cancelled along with it brickwalling, I wouldn't expect Team Taylor to release a second promo single before the actual single.)

Damn, I completely hate it... Swifties were really deaf while hearing this song, sounds horrible to me. This is not a single right? 2/3 for me and I usually like every shit Taylor puts out...

WTF is this? Total garbage
This CAN'T BE fan favourite... they must have been very drunk or sth.
I almost see what she is trying to do: like combine the special what Carly Rae Jepsen has to the current sound but... it doesn't work
The lyrics are ok-ish though, so my main problem is the nothingness of the production.

I like this. The promo track is doing what it's supposed to do.Get the album back on the General Public's mind. It's been awhile since "...Ready For It" was released. This is a excellent song and Taylor is 3 for 3 for me this era. 3 more weeks till the album is released and this track has got me more hyped.

...Ready For It? had some attitude at least, and an interesting structure. If they found a way to combine the verses from this, and the chorus from RFI, I think it would be significantly stronger than either one separately.
