A new era already? I guess their plan to only go two singles deep makes a bit more sense now, though I would've loved to see Send Them Off get an actual release.

looks like it might not be a new era as this is on the soundtrack to Bright, that weird Will Smith movie where he's partners with an orc cop. New alt-J and Portugal. The Man on it too.

Okay I definitely need to hear the Migos and Marshmello collaboration. This soundtrack is basically a who's who of every big name in music these days.

Meanwhile, I'm over here thinking that the Logic and Rag'N'Bone Man collab could be really interesting.
(and low-key hyped for A$AP and Tom Morello)

It's interesting how this thread turned out into the Bright soundtrack discussion. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Anyway, the song was premiered as the World Record on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show and the music video was unveiled as well.

This is...pretty bad. It has none of the charm of their other singles.

This is the lamest, sappiest song, and his falsetto in the prechorus is possibly the worst thing ever, but at least the strings and vocal harmonies in the chorus sound good.

I'll take cheese ballads any day, over a lot of today's music. BTW, what Will Smith flick is that? looks pretty good.

Yeah, this isn't good. Would have much rather had a third single from Wild World. I guess this is like their "Neutron Star Collision", except they probably won't go back to the album after this.

I was fully prepared to hate this given the reaction from this thread and the fact that I haven't liked Bastille's ballads they released in the past, but I actually like this a lot. Not sure why they didn't release STO in favor of this, especially when Blame peaked months ago and they easily could've fit in a third single between now and then, but I can certainly live with this being released instead as it's a pretty good song and it should do well too.
And lmao at that soundtrack, that's the most random set of star studded collabs I've seen since the Suicide Squad soundtrack. I didn't even think this was that big of a movie? And at least the Suicide Squad soundtrack fit -- not saying all movie soundtrack songs need to be directly related to the movie, but it was pretty jarring watching the beginning of the video in which Will Smith is saying what a badass cop he is transition into this soft ballad.

Ehhhhh, this isn't THAT bad. It's just kind of "there" more than anything. Certainly not the best Bastille has to offer, but I've definitely heard worse.

As if the "you don't wanna fuck with us" part didn't already sound weird enough, I heard it uncensored on an over-the-air station (Alt 92.3 WBMP New York). Not sure if they rectified it yet, but hopefully they do so before the FCC takes notice.

Not sure if they rectified it yet, but hopefully they do so before the FCC takes notice. On a milder note, they were also the first station I ever heard leave "God" uncensored in "I Write Sins Not Tragedies", and I thought that was refreshing because it's not even that offensive to begin with, but judging off this, I'm guessing they're playing everything uncensored for now

Easily the worst song I've heard from them before. Lyrically, this just sounds so out of place for a band like Bastille.

None of you besides me probably remember that song off the top of your head, but they say "shit" as clear as day in the song. I always wondered how they got away with that.

Though playing the uncensored version of "I Write Sins" might have been intentional, since there's really nothing in that song that you can't say on the radio.

I don't know a lot of Bastille's music, but their lead singers voice is phenomenal.
