Don’t forget that the album wasn’t released to all platforms until Monday and even to just TIDAL until Saturday night. This was all over the news and yet their video is still at 21 mi on YouTube.

Disgusting they're still up to their dirty tricks. The physical sales are still awful.

I don’t think Bey realizes that since “Lemonade”, a lot of her fans actually HATE Jay Z. Or people are burnt on the narrative. She’d do better if it was a surprise solo drop I think. Now her #1 streak might be ruined. Since it’s credited to The Carters, her streak would survive on a “side project” technicality

A Billboard Chart Beat mentions that industry prognosticators are expecting more than 45k SPS for ?:

I thought Christina's #s were good until I remembered the ticket bundle.

^That is the new norm these days- since the price of the album is worked into the ticket price and consumers have to take action to redeem copies, nothing wrong there. Not all consumers redeem, either. The performance in coming weeks may be another story. Not all acts are touring powerhouses (see P!nk), so the impact varies.

yeah it's kinda dumb not to do it at this point. still don't like current method which only favor artist/label for money/chart.

Not all consumers redeem, either. The performance in coming weeks may be another story. Not all acts are touring powerhouses (see P!nk), so the impact varies. I didn't take that post as an implication that there's anything wrong with a tour bundle. I think it's that numbers look decent but then you think, oh... I bet there's a large percentage of units redeemed from a ticket bundle (non-traditional, non-streaming). Some may choose not to redeem it, sure, but that's just throwing away money spent, because it's already included. That's arguably worse than someone choosing to not buy the album on its own. There it is, ready for the taking, already paid for, and fans who bought tickets to see a show STILL don't want to give an artist's new music a chance? It's like a slap in the face to the artist when I look at it that way. This isn't intended to negate or debate what you've said. It's absolutely becoming the norm - especially for vets and other viable touring acts, and again, there's nothing wrong with it. But it's still not the same as buying an album on its own merits, out of genuine desire to own or stream it, without the potential "might as well redeem it" mindset of a tour bundle. It's also not a direct comparison to other albums being purchased and streamed that aren't part of a bundle, which is why bundles are typically mentioned when numbers are revealed.

^You'd think that anyone who buys a ticket to see an act would take advantage of getting the act's latest album, as they really are paying for it. But, I suppose there are some who like an act's older music, and may not want the new album, even if it's included in the ticket price.
I wonder how many of those buying a certain number of tickets - if they redeemed copies of an album - and then reselling them, send the albums to the people buying the tickets.

Looks like SAD! just broke the record for most streams in one day... A lot of his other tracks from ? aren't getting as many streams, a lot of the streams are going to his other albums, but I think he could still hit 100k SPS?

UPDATE: *The Carters (Roc Nation/Parkwood/Columbia)** **Because of the uncertainty surrounding so many of the numbers connected to this title, we're going to wait until tomorrow to update our total. They might as well change their name to The Cartels...

Well of course they aren't getting as many streams. SAD! is his most well known song. All of these other songs are just album tracks.

How long does it take Tidal to forge their numbers? 🙄. We were supposed to have their numbers today included in the predictions.

wow, so DMB is dropping from 300,000 to under 20k in week 2? I knew they would drop a ton due to the tour bundle but just wow! I guess it is strange that the band didn't have any promotion until the Tonight show on Thursday

If I were Beyonce I'd just report 9,000,000,000,000 in streaming, since everyone is assuming this is a cheat anyway.

Do they normally release the bundle numbers? I thought they did for Pink, but maybe people were just guessing. I'd be curious to see what kind of boost Christina got, as it might help frame my expectations for if/when Kelly does a tour bundle (if she ever announces her goddamn tour...). Generally, bundle numbers are not released, but there is sort of a way to estimate them: P!nk's total pure sales for her first week were 384k (meaning 135k in-store and digital sales), for comparison. The article above didn't mention it but I think I recall seeing someone say at the time that P!nk's redemption number was really high compared to other artists who had done it so far. Maybe the highest? Now that I think about it, I can't recall anyone other than Dave Matthews Band who might have topped her. I think a lot of people either don't read all the fine print or they simply forget. Some just don't get around to it. It's this human-nature logic that companies use for auto-renewal subscriptions. If you're forced to make a phone call to cancel something, odds are that a sizable # of people will simply neglect to do it for at least a month or two, even when there is actual money on the line. For that reason it stands out when an act has a high # of redemptions. We're conditioned to put a mental asterisk by bundle #s, but it shows that people REALLY care about that person's music and/or chart status. Not surprised by Bey-Z. The beehive used up its Tidal free trial for Lemonade. smh they don't know how to create a new account? Judging all of them. I'm trying to figure out if it's the height of arrogance or simply the bubble of fame that would lead The Carters to hold back their numbers like this. Are they really so concerned about looking like flops that they'd rather look like frauds? Or do they just honestly not realize that 95% of the universe thinks Tidal is a sham? As it is, it already comes across as them deciding to release to all streaming/digital outlets after seeing the first-day Tidal numbers come in low...so anything over 200k is going to look suspect af.

On the current building chart, Xtina's sales don't look too bad. Sadly, streaming is killing her chances of a higher debut.

The bundle really helped her since it doesn't look like she's going to make the top 10 anywhere else (maybe Canada as well thanks to the bundle although she's doing just one date there.) hitsdailydouble.com/streaming_songs4 songs from The Carters charted (#19, #37, #41, #50) with around 32 million combined streams. 65 million tops then but Tidal will probably report another 65 million at least.

So that streaming songs chart doesn’t include Tidal? I don't think so... I'm sure we would have gotten updated predictions with some actual numbers if Tidal had reported.
