Yup, Morgan has very quickly become one of the more promising up and coming newcomers right now, and seems to be making a big impact in the coveted streaming department. His career looks quite promising right about now.

I think the mullet is helping him a lot. People love talking about that thing. He's pretty average in all aspects but stuff like that makes the kids go crazy

I definitely think it helps give him a unique image--why wouldn't it? Much like Jordan Davis' beard. It's not like fans say "oh look at this guy's hair, I'm gonna buy his song," but something like that creates better imagery that lends to greater artist recognition.

That’s how it is these days Luke Combs wouldnt be Luke Combs if not for his personality and Toby Keith-like relatable, fun appearance.

I wonder if this one's success will finally lead to a physical copy of his album getting released.

That’s really impressive! Very high for a country song.

Coming for #1 on the HCS from Luke Or Luke Combs' going to have #1 and #2 in the coming weeks. Nah, the sales and streams for the new one would have to blow Beautiful crazy out of the water for it to hit top 30 on the overall top 100 with the lower level of audience. And keep in mind with a Wednesday release, it will only have two days of sales + streaming numbers & 5 days at radio for that first week. And unless they release the video on drop day, it won't have the youtube views.

Coming for #1 on the HCS from Luke Or Luke Combs' going to have #1 and #2 in the coming weeks. "Beer Never Broke My Heart" will have a big debut for sure, but "Whiskey Glasses" will have a huge advantage thanks to its high airplay numbers right now. I don't see it being a threat to Morgan Wallen, because I don't see Luke Combs getting to the top until at least several weeks into his run.

And unless they release the video on drop day, it won't have the youtube views. And yet, that still doesn't change the rest of it. How many units do you think the song is going to sell + stream in two days?

Would not be surprised to see this song land at #1 on HCS for the week
That would be for next week, not this week. But yes, I imagine that's why they discounted it. No real different though than manipulated chart peaks (hi, Pardi) or manipulated spotify chart placement (basically everyone, but Luke was 3rd on HCS on spotify when the song dropped, Blake was 45th last week and now back to 9th this week etc)

Is a store placing on-sale items right at the entrance considered sales manipulation? I also see no manipulation from Jon Pardi's end as "Night Shift" is in its push week, is only moving up one spot at a time, and has a corresponding peak on HCS and Hot 100 that is well within reason for its airplay.

I mean yes, the store is attempting to manipulate you as a buyer. That's the entire point of marketing. That said, I don't have a problem with any of it.

Sorry for the double post: officially takes over #1 on hot country songs chart. Also sets a new peak of #28 on hot 100. This has been a huge hit for Morgan

His album is climbing the charts, too. If I Know Me debuted at #11 on the country charts and #72 on the Billboard 200 upon release last year, but as of the latest chart it's at new peaks of #6 and #62, respectively.

This quickly became my favorite song on the radio, which is stunning because I absolutely hate “Up Down.” I listened to his album this morning and was delighted to see it is full of mostly really great songs.
“Happy Hour” has an amazing hook but I think “Redneck Love Song” is the hit waiting to happen, after my one run through. I’d expect one of those two next.

I would think they would use this momentum and release one of the other great songs left on the album, but Morgan did just post a photo of him in the studio. Maybe they move on to album #2.

I haven't listened to the album in full, but I will be shocked if they don't release Little Rain.

I haven't listened to the album in full, but I will be shocked if they don't release Little Rain. Even though Morgan's back in the studio for his second album, who knows how far along they are in that process. I'm expecting them to release one more from his debut and to me, the best remaining song is definitely "Little Rain", which other than "Whiskey Glasses", had hit written all over it. It's the same tempo as "Whiskey Glasses" however, so I'm worried they'll pass it up.

"Chasin' You" is an underrated pick for a single too. Probably too slow for the summer though, so I'd go with "Redneck Love Song"

I figured as much, but the album is still setting new peaks because of how big "Whiskey Glasses" has blown up for him. The album may not have sold well for him, but the sales for this single are very impressive. I hope whatever he releases as the next single from the album moves up the charts a lot quicker. WG has blown up into a huge success, but it took 10 months to get here.
