Not a fan of this song at all to put it nicely, but it's pleasant to see three independent labels in the top 5 on the charts this week. There's this, promoted by Big Loud Records, at #2; Kelsea Ballerini's "Miss Me More," promoted by Black River Entertainment, at #3; and Lee Brice's "Rumor," promoted by Curb Records, likely to come in at #4 or #5 for the week. It's great to know that as corporate-controlled as our entertainment culture is in 2019, smaller, independent labels can still succeed. Now, it'd be nice if some less financially well-off independent labels could also start to see major airplay success in the future.
Also noteworthy is that more than half of the top ten is promoted by independent record labels. Thomas Rhett's "Look What God Gave Her" and EYB's "Love Ain't" are sponsored by Valory Music Co, a division of Big Machine Label Group, and Chase Rice's "Eyes on You" is sponsored by Broken Bow Records, the titular division of the independent Broken Bow Label Group.

Even though this dropped 25-26 on the Hot 100 this week it is still nice to see a country song spend a few weeks in the top 30. This will most likely get a couple more if Morgan stays at #1 on Airplay for a couple weeks and doesn't drop in streams or sales too much.

Officially number one on Mediabase. Crazy to think that his album originally came out in 2016. They could still ride this out with a couple of more singles, but I did notice Morgan is in the studio currently. I’m still wanting that re-release of “The Way I Talk” 😂

“The Way I Talk” would never get re-released. It got top 30 but it also took 11 months to peak. Big Loud wouldn’t put an investment into a single that they’ve already spent so much money on.

Saw Morgan last night at Rock the South in Alabama and he said if everything goes like he wants “Chasin You” will be the next single. He does a great live show.

"The Way I Talk" came out in 2016, but it didn't do well enough to get the album out there at the time.

This is the 1st country song in 2019 to eclipse 9000 spins, it has 9020 spins on Mediabase. I think it will drop fairly quickly because of how long it's been out and had max spins this past week. Hopefully Morgan can keep the momentum going with his next single.

I imagine radio is gonna hold onto this song for a while. I think it'll at least be a solid month before this goes recurrent on Billboard.

I would expect him to be #1 for another 2-3 weeks at least.

I believe I saw Morgan post on his Instagram over the weekend a picture of a radio screen playing SiriusXM's The Highway and it was playing "Chasin You". Morgan wrote on it something to the tune of thanks for playing the new one.

Bummed if they aren't going with Little Rain but Chasin You isn't a bad pick by any means.

Yeah, if it's Chasin' You it'll be bittersweet. It would be my third choice but I would've still preferred Little Rain or Happy Hour.

New peak for a country song on the hot 100 this year. Also will re-take the top spot on HCS

So glad this made it to #1 on Airplay and now the top 20 on the Hot 100! I hope this being so big can help him have a big hit that moves up a little quicker for his next single.

This makes me glad I never bought it digitally. I might actually purchase this now. I was already thinking about getting it anyway, but having a physical release will probably seal the deal for me.

I was just on Morgan's site and looked at his store and they want $15 so I went to Ebay and looked him up and saw several listings and was surprised as I haven't seen nothing til now. I then went to Target's and Walmart's pages and found a listing for the album. YEP, I am not paying $20 just for an album, it is listed for $8.69 at Target!!!!

Considering it's on sale for less than half that elsewhere... yes? I don't see how this is a legitimate question.

"I'm not paying $20 for just an album". Shit, I wouldn't either. The most I like to pay for an album is about $12 unless it's by an artist I'm a huge fan of, or the album is longer than usual (like if it's a deluxe edition with an extra 5 or so songs, i.e.).

I have Miranda Lambert's debut album, self titled which was self released back in 2001 and won the auction on Ebay and paid $50 for it and it was only 10 songs but her countriest record. There were auctions where some were over $100 just for this album. I paid $30 for Keith Urban's 1991 record as well about 2 years ago.

Hmm, I usually don't have a problem with $15-20. I know a recent album I want is ¥2778, or over $25. And that's not even the version with the DVD, which is over $32.

This makes me glad I never bought it digitally. I might actually purchase this now. I was already thinking about getting it anyway, but having a physical release will probably seal the deal for me. Same thing for me. I kept saying I’d just download it but now that it’s coming out physically I’ll gladly buy it like that! Yes, but his words implied he wouldn't have got it if it wasn't on sale. "I'm not paying $20 for just an album". s**t, I wouldn't either. The most I like to pay for an album is about $12 unless it's by an artist I'm a huge fan of, or the album is longer than usual (like if it's a deluxe edition with an extra 5 or so songs, i.e.). I’m used to most releases being around $15 here with some being $20 so it’s not that bad for me. But yeah the cheaper the better obviously 😬 I have Miranda Lambert's debut album, self titled which was self released back in 2001 and won the auction on Ebay and paid $50 for it and it was only 10 songs but her countriest record. There were auctions where some were over $100 just for this album. I paid $30 for Keith Urban's 1991 record as well about 2 years ago. Those are albums that are out of print and hard to find so that makes sense to buy them for a higher price. I paid quite a bit for Sarah Buxton and Katrina Elam’s unreleased albums too. But for a regular in print release I think $20 is the high end and only really for deluxe editions or so. s**t, I wouldn't either. The most I like to pay for an album is about $12 unless it's by an artist I'm a huge fan of, or the album is longer than usual (like if it's a deluxe edition with an extra 5 or so songs, i.e.). Hmm, I usually don't have a problem with $15-20. I know a recent album I want is ¥2778, or over $25. And that's not even the version with the DVD, which is over $32. I know cds tend to be higher outside of the US so for some people it seems like a lot to pay that much.

I just wanted to let everyone know in this topic for this song that I got the album and get this, there was only 1 copy of the CD when I went to my local Walmart store today. I have 2 local Walmart stores and the Westside location is the one that is closest to me so I did a store pickup for the album and got it for $8.97 + tax. Also, before picking it up, I went actually to the CD's area in the Electronics department and saw that they had only one copy on the shelf. I am lucky!!

Unless I’m missing an artist he’s easily now the most successful artist to come from The Voice. I hope they go with a slower song as the next single if they don’t release a completely new single. Then again with them just physically releasing the album I’d say they go with a 4th single. I’m really hoping they go with “Had Me By Halftime” if they release a 4th single from this album.
