Apparently Miranda is wrecking a new home as we speak so leave Gwen alone! What happened to Anderson? she dumped him for a married man, and that mans wife has been blasting both of them! pagesix.com/2018/07/13/wife-of-miranda-lamberts-married-boyfriend-he-ghosted-me/Miranda Lambert is caught in the middle of her boyfriend Evan Felker’s divorce — and now his estranged wife is accusing him of ghosting her while she was hospitalized. “I’m gonna be fine physically. Thank you for all your questions. I’ll answer some more when I feel better, but right now — I want to talk about real men,” Staci Felker wrote on Instagram Thursday. Staci did not give any further details on her medical condition, instead opting to lash out at the 34-year-old Traveling Troubadours frontman. “Aside from the ghosting and just very real #psychologicalwarfare and torture that happened earlier this year,” she fumed. “A man that I perfected homemade chicken soup for when he was sick, cared for him through soooo many sweating miserable days coming off benders decided to come calling when I was happy last week … How dare I smile after all he did to try to break me?” Staci continued, “I took those calls, because that’s what a wife does. I’m still his wife. I’ve done everything to be a good one because deep down I thought it might change things. Less than a week later, I was sent to the hospital and couldn’t reach him. That’s not a real man. That’s not a country boy and certainly no cowboy. Not a husband I’ll ever take back because I was scared and he was gone. Again.” Lambert, 34, reportedly began dating Evan in February before he and Staci filed for divorce (and while she was allegedly still dating Anderson East), though their relationship didn’t make headlines until April. The “Vice” singer famously split from husband Blake Shelton in July 2015. Lambert has since been fiercely private about her personal life.

Gwen *should* be in higher regard than both of those but.... I'm not really sure if she is. To be clear, Gwen and Christina are both held in much higher regard than Avril Lavigne. I agree that Gwen didn't play the legend game (much like Usher) but at least Usher was consistently putting out music. Gwen went sooo long without anything and when she came back, it was super lackluster.

What happened to Anderson? she dumped him for a married man, and that mans wife has been blasting both of them! Anderson is a hottie! He's like the churchgoing bad boy straight guy from your mom's small town that is hot only because he's unattainable. If Miranda doesn't want him anymore, I'll want him (and never have him either) instead!

I mean, girl was the frontwoman of a successful band, writes her own music, and successfully launched a solo career. She has more than a handful of smash hits and was a style icon for years. Like, I get there's the unfortunate botox and headline-chasing relationship gossip, but most celebrities do this too. Personally I think she's a peer of Celine, Beyone, Britney, etc. on the legends rank. Part of it is that she first became known as part of a group, and part of it is that her solo success was then fairly short lived (two albums). In a way her career feels kind of sporadic. I also don't think she really asks for a legacy in the way others do; does her PR team play up what all she's done in her career, for instance? It all feels so random with her. The reality is between No Doubt and her solo career, she did have success from 1995-2007, including mega hits "Don't Speak" and "Hollaback Girl" (with other hits as well, of course). That is impressive. She's also been a sort of female icon along the way, so I agree that she should feel like a bigger deal than she does. Between her work with No Doubt and her solo material, she has a really solid collection of hits: "Just a Girl" "Spiderwebs" "Don't Speak" "Simple Kind of Life" (not a hit, but well remembered/respected) "Hey Baby" "Hella Good" "Underneath It All" "It's My Life" "Let Me Blow Ya Mind" "Rich Girl" "Hollaback Girl" "Cool" "Luxurious" "The Sweet Escape" "4 in the Morning" That's 15 quality songs/hits spread out across about 12 years.

How you get 'em is how you lose 'em. Really, she and Blake deserve each other the way they behave.

Thank you OP for creating this thread as I just got my life listening to Settle Down, It's My Life, What You Waiting For and Hollaback Girl back to back. Wow I forgot how much I actually love Gwen. I haven't listened to any of her stuff since her last album's release day.

It's rare for female pop singers to remain cool as you age. She and probably Jlo are the only ones who have done. Maybe Beyonce as well.

I think it is a combination of the time off and the inconsistency in her work. Some of her later work with No Doubt and Solo is fantastic and some of it not so much. I also think she kind of made herself into a gimmick of sorts with some of her choices. I also think Hollaback Girl was one of those songs that worked at the time, but I also think it worked against her where people were like this girl went from Don’t Speak and Spiderwebs to this.

True those are all very valid points. Mariah went from "Vision Of Love" and "Emotions" to "Touch My Body" and "Obsessed" and is still mostly respected/appreciated.

I also want to add that No Doubt really genre hopped at times which made them a hard to categorize group, so that adds to the issue of where does one give them their due? I’m sure it didn’t help them at radio because no one knew really where to play them.

Yeah not having an identity can hurt, but also that Gwen isn't seen as 'serious.' She went from rock to pop, and for many that akin to selling out. I am not saying she did, I'm just saying critics and the like prefer a 'serious' image to a bubblegum one when they dish out respect.

I do know she receives high marks for her live shows. I’ve been to a few concerts, and her energy she brings is incredible.
It’s kind of hard for artists who are part of a band to forge an identity because more often than not fans will hold solo you against you. When really, if you aren’t going to do something different from your group what is the point in going solo. I think to an extent she filled a void in pop when she came out, and then younger people like Gaga and Katy Perry came along to fill it since she took so long between projects. You can even look at an artist like Brandon Flowers from The Killers and make a similar statement. I think also there were conflicting issues with No Doubt and her projects which probably hasn’t helped perception of her where in some cases warranted and unwarranted criticism of her. I think more people were looking for a No Doubt record over a second Gwen solo project which probably didn’t help in a time when these later career projects build your legacy case.
