The tweet is self-explanatory. Kelsea about to get her "The Middle" moment?

All the country girls are going pop... Except for the girl group Country Girls, who's already pop. I hope Maren Morris and Keslea Ballerini don't go full pop.

Oh, interesting. I can't wait to see how this goes. Hopefully it's Side Effect level or better.

Nice! Finally going back to the same type of artist they were doing before, meaning moderately famous singers they can break big like Halsey and Daya.

I think Kelsea is so much more accomplished than those two, but I see what you mean.

What's with them releasing so much music lately. They hit the mark with Side Effects, just chill.

I think Kelsea is so much more accomplished than those two, but I see what you mean. Huh? Halsey has 6 Hot 100 Top 40 singles, including a #1. She's sold over 20 million singles. Daya has sold around 8 million singles and has 3 Top 40 singles. Kelsea has only sold around 4 million singles and she has 1 Top 40 single.

So that wouldn't even make sense. Of course Kelsea would be more "successful", Halsey didn't even "exist."

I think Kelsea is so much more accomplished than those two, but I see what you mean. It's right above my post. I didn't have to quote him to respond to him. And if you didn't know I was responding to him, why did you bring up Halsey and Daya at me? I didn't even mention their names in my post. Also, Halsey didn't even have a CD out when Kelsea released her first. So that wouldn't even make sense. Of course Kelsea would be more "successful", Halsey didn't even "exist." And apparently Suono was talking about how The Chainsmokers has a history of picking "moderately famous singers they can break big" - so it's pretty clear we were comparing Kelsea now with Halsey then and Daya then. Then means before they scored big hits with The Chainsmokers. :sip2: I usually charge when I teach reading comprehension.

There are plenty of country artists who have several Top 40 hits. The only way to compare the 3 is the universal chart they were all on. And since we are discussing Chainsmokers Pop crossovers, that is how they are compared. Not to mention plenty of acts like Thomas Rhett, Keith Urban, etc. who have never had any pop hits still manange to often chart in the top 40 on Hot 100. the list goes on and on

They barely make the Top 40. A lot of country songs peak just below the Top 40. "Love Me Like You Mean It" peaked at #45, which wasn't that far below all things considered. Speaking of Thomas Rhett "T-Shirt" at #41. Should we disount that song's success because it peaked at #41 rather than #40? Country and pop have different standards. You're not going to see an actual country song in the Top 10.

What's with them releasing so much music lately. They hit the mark with Side Effects, just chill. They said they're releasing their second album in waves. The first wave was the Sick Boy EP, with each song releasing a month apart. This second wave started with "Side Effects" in July, followed by "Save Yourself" in August, and now "This Feeling" will be the September song.

Side Effects aside, none of their post Sick Boy tracks has been good, but this sounds promising.

We've been discussing this in the Artist Discussion K-Z section as well. ATRL got the title from my own posts.

Don't like this nearly as much as Side Effects and wish Drew would've kept his predictably awful vocals off the track but this is decent by Chainsmokers standards.

Not as instant as Side Effects, but a definitely grower. However it's the second best song of them released this year.
