Maren is getting all the Grammy noms next year. Guaranteed. She's gonna blow up this year and with the number of Grammy noms she received this year, she is absolutely getting several for this new album this year. I'm 100% confident the biggest reason "The Middle" got ROTY/SOTY noms was because Maren was on it.

This had a really good week on airplay this week gaining a lot of audience! I’m liking it quite a bit. The song she did at the ACMs last night was great too, I actually liked it even better.

“The Bones” goes for adds May 20 at pop YES! It has been doing really well on streaming so I think it'll smash. "GIRL" had potential but "The Bones" has even more.

“The Bones” goes for adds May 20 at pop I know it’s going for adds at Hot AC on that day, but are you sure about pop?

"Girl" Mediabase callout scores came back finally. Pretty middle of the road, not too bad (5th highest negative, low burn rate).
With solid but unspectacular callout scores and great sales. I don't see how this song does not get a Top 5 peak at least.

When was the last time we had 2 solo female artists in the top 10? I feel like it’s sooner than I’m remembering.

"The Bones" is already top 50 at Hot AC and will go for CHR/Pop adds in July. With "Girl" now hitting the top 10, I hope it can peak in the next 4-5 weeks (even if that means peaking in the 4-6 range) so that it can clear the way for "The Bones" to hit Country radio in July as well, so it is rising at all three formats at the same time.

I'd rather just have the label stick this song out to #1 because I do think this song has a legit chance to hit #1 as this seems to be gaining well enough and could probably wait out Blake Shelton and Luke Combs dominance at the top that seems imminent.

I’m not so sure they’re going to push The Bones here. I have a feeling that it’ll remain a Pop/HAC single while All My Favorite People will be the second single.

I hope they don't do that. "All My Favorite People" would be a great country single too, but they would miss a huge opportunity if they didn't maximize the success of "The Bones" by pushing it at country as well. AMFP could definitely be a strong third single.

I feel like the whole point of "The Bones" currently getting promoted outside country radio is an indication that it won't be serviced to country (since usually a song goes for crossover success after its peaked at country radio or close to it). I mean, I wouldn't really mind if it was because it is a great song and I think it could do well here, too, but I do think they have better options to cater to her home format, namely "All My Favorite People" and "A Song for Everything." Those two would be hands down my pick for the 2nd and 3rd country singles from the album, because I think radio would eat both of those up and they would sail into the top 5 with ease.

No offense, but I hope you're wrong on that, haha. The amount of attention that "The Bones" has been getting makes me think that it will et as many as adds possible.

This is why I don’t think The Bones will be pushed here. I’d be thrilled for AMFP and ASFE as the second and third singles. Maybe The Feels could be the fourth and crossover to Pop as well.

“The Bones” is so, so good and I wanted it as the fourth (and final) single but I agree that if it’s going to pop it’s probably not happening on country unless it’s the second single.
I think “A Song For Everything” will Be next.

Moves up 2 spots to #5 on Mediabase this week, becoming Maren Morris 4th Top 5 in a row ("Craving You", "I Could Use A Love Song", and "Rich"). Solid week with over 300 spins gained.
That being said this is the biggest question mark(?) in terms of whether or not she will get both the Billboard #1. This song along with "Some of It", and "Beer Never Broke My Heart" have been in a constant tug of war with each other, but I do think this getting both #1s is possible since Luke Combs is behind her and is actually testing a bit worse so I don't think he is a threat to pass hopefully and I hope Sony recognizes to let Eric Church get his week at #1, then strike, but I am worried they will push too soon and have to settle for a Mediabase only #1.

Eric is hosting ccusa first (after Garth the next two weeks)

Yeah, everyone seemed to be worried Luke Combs might block her song from #1, but I could see the promo team trying to hold his back a little to let her go up first since they're on the same label. It's also a little reassuring that he's not testing the best with this one, which means radio may not want to give him more than a week or two at the top anyway (rather than it being another long-running #1 like his last two), so that may work in Maren's favor here. I'm really rooting for her, especially since Kelsea missed on BB and it's long overdue for a woman to get another #1 on the chart.

I'm all for women getting number ones, but it's annoying (only to me of course) that if she makes it, it is with this song. Other than GIRL and The Bones, I like all the songs in the album, so why is THIS one the hit single? :'(

Interested to see how Sony plays it with this, Combs and Young. All three are kind of struggling due to weak reaction from radio. They'll probably max this July 21-28 for a top 5 peak, then max Combs July 28-August 4 for a #1, and finish it out with Young August 4-11 for a fake Mediabase #1 and a top 5 peak on Billboard.

Hold up, I just heard "All My Favorite People" on the radio just now. Does anyone know if that's the planned followup to this here instead of "The Bones"?

There's been no indication of what will be the next single that I've seen, but "All My Favorite People" has been considered a front-runner for country radio since the album dropped. There's also nothing to suggest "The Bones" was intended for country radio. In fact, I think its early release to other formats while "Girl" is still climbing makes me think it is unlikely to be released to country.

I hope this can get the #1 on Billboard. I'm tired of seeing the girls always coming up short. It's been a year and a half since a woman was at the top of the charts, so its loooong overdue. If "Some of It" drops fast enough, I think she should be able to get there, too.

I’m hoping for a Black River-type push to get this to #1 at Billboard. It’s been way too long.
