What's the big album bomb this week, XXXTentacion? What is the likelihood of any top 10 debuts?
Only 'cause I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Ariana and 'Breathin' that her airplay will hold on/build some more and Maroon 5's airplay drops enough for her to pass them, then she could sneak into the top 10 with Meek's debut from the previous chart dropping out. This also hinges on nothing coming up from behind (or something debuting in the top 10).

I honestly think the only time All I Want would hit number one is if Mariah were to die during the winter season and people buys and streams the song as tribute.

It's not just AIWFCIY getting bigger every year, it's loads of other Christmas songs getting bigger. Are people getting into the holiday spirit more and more? This was discussed a bit in last week's thread. Aside from being very beloved and popular songs to begin with, streaming has made this kind of Hot 100 activity substantially more possible. Holiday songs are trackable and much more accessible now without having to purchase them, and more and more people are streaming with each passing year. For many years (decades), people would rely on radio for holiday music, or their own collection of CDs and/or mp3s - the latter of which obviously plays weren't tracked. Now we have massive amounts of streams pouring in, all being counted towards the charts. That combined with a few rule changes over the years allowing older songs to chart year after year. I suspect there will be a plateau in the coming years, but, for now we're seeing holiday songs increase in peak right along with streaming growth. |

I know this is unrelated but Perfect is #1 for the worldwide charts. I'm surprised it beat Gods plan considering the WW chart tracks from January - December.

I don't think breathin will go top ten or even make a year end chart I have a gut feeling it's going to get to #11. IDK about YE 2019, if its airplay slowly backtracks it might linger around the 15-30 range and sneak in. With "imagine" coming this Thursday though, I assume "breathin" will start free falling. |
