the results have started out great! Please stay that way lol
I have always liked "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" from Aerosmith (as they are my favorite band, along with Linkin Park) and anyone covering this song was never gonna do better than them. Sadly this lasted longer than it should have. I've always disliked his version and I'm with him that this should never have been recorded. I do wonder what other pop song the label wanted him to record though lol

I'm surprised they didn't try forcing a pop song for the 'Lost In The Feeling' album since he was still with the same label (sorta anyway).

Well I got 3 of my bottom 5 guesses right and one of the others didn't last much longer so I'll say the remaining one will be out soon.
So: "A Good Way To Get On My Bad Side" "Lost In The Feeling" "When You Love Her Like Crazy"

#43. "I'm In Love With A Married Woman"
Total Points: 480 Average: 34.2 Year Released: January, 2003 Radio & Records Peak: #44 Billboard Peak: #48 Rankings:Kanenrá:ke - 13 kw9461 - 23 zack97 - 28 sabre14 - 31 George Strait Junkie - 32 CoJoFan - 33 bboat11 - 33 gardyfan - 33 ClevelandRox - 35 Cody Wants Out... - 38 George Strait Junkie - 40 castleoblivion26 - 45 .indulgecountry - 46 LBTrocks - 50 "I'm In Live With A Married Woman" was the third and final single off Mark Chesnutt's self-titled album for Columbia Nashville in early 2003. It peaked at #44 in March of 2003. The song was written by Marc Beeson and Tim Johnson. Beeson was part of the 90's country band, Burnin' Daylight and has co-written songs for other artists, such as "Phones Are Ringin' All Over Town" by Martina McBride, "When She Cries" by Restless Heart, "Be Grateful" by The Farm and "The Blade" by Ashley Monroe.
This song was also done by Blaine Larsen in 2006, for his Rockin' You Tonight album. It was never a single.
I like Blaine's version better than Mark's but this is still a decent song. The title is supposed to be deceiving but after you hear it, that aspect goes away lol.

#39. "When You Love Her Like Crazy"
Total Points: 438 Average: 31.2 Year Released: March, 2008 Mediabase Peak: Did Not Chart Billboard Peak: Did Not Chart Rankings:LBTrocks - 15 bboat11 - 17 Cody Wants Out... - 23 .indulgecountry - 23 George Strait Junkie - 23 castleoblivion26 - 30 Kanenrá:ke - 31 gardyfan - 35 zack97 - 36 CoJoFan - 39 sabre14 - 40 kw9461 - 41 tim - 41 ClevelandRox - 44 "When You Love Her Like Crazy" was the second single off Mark Chesnutt's Rollin' With The Flow album in March of 2008. It charted on secondary radio but never reached the top 60 on Mediabase or Billboard. The song was promoted through Lofton Creek Records. The song was written by Tony Martin and Mark Nesler.
Solid song here once again but not among my favorites from Mark. I think the lyrics are really good here though, especially "when you love her like crazy, that's what you are."

#38. "It's Not Over" (feat. Alison Krauss and Vince Gill)
Total Points: 432 Average: 30.8 Year Released: November, 1997 Radio & Records Peak: #29 Billboard Peak: #34 Rankings:tim - 13 sabre14 - 16 .indulgecountry - 22 ClevelandRox - 24 George Strait Junkie - 24 CoJoFan - 26 Kanenrá:ke - 26 castleoblivion26 - 29 kw9461 - 37 bboat11 - 38 Cody Wants Out... - 43 gardyfan - 43 zack97 - 43 LBTrocks - 48 "It's Not Over" was the second single off Mark Chesnutt's Thank God For Believers album in November of 1997. It peaked at #29 on R&R in late January of 1998. The song was originally put on Mark's Longneck's & Short Stories album in 1992, under the title "It's Not Over (If I'm Not Over You)". It features backing vocals from Alison Krauss and Vince Gill. Mark had a song he removed from his Thank God For Believers album because it didn't fit the theme of the album and decided to place "It's Not Over" in its place. He didn't re-record it -- just took the original version from 5 years prior. It was also Chesnutt's decision to make it a radio single. When it was released to radio, it was simply titled, "It's Not Over."
I love this song. The production, steel guitar, melody and vocals are great. I'm actually shocked it is this low -- I thought top 30 was a likely bet.

#37. "She Dreams"
Total Points: 430 Average: 30.7 Year Released: July, 1994 Radio & Records Peak: #3 Billboard Peak: #6 Rankings:bboat11 - 16 ClevelandRox - 16 kw9461 - 16 CoJoFan - 18 gardyfan - 24 castleoblivion26 - 28 tim - 28 George Strait Junkie - 31 zack97 - 32 sabre14 - 33 Cody Wants Out... - 42 Kanenrá:ke - 48 .indulgecountry - 49 LBTrocks - 49 "She Dreams" was the lead single off Mark Chesnutt's What a Way to Live album in July of 1994. It peaked at #3 on R&R in October. It was first released as a single by co-writer Tim Mensy in 1993 (#74).
I go back and forth on "She Dreams." It's a rather odd song in terms of concept. I do get what the writers were going for though. A woman who is looking for more in her life and dreaming of a different one. That's the feel the song is giving of too. The melody is hard to get into though.

“I Want My Baby Back” must have gotten tanked because it’s pretty unknown, only logical explanation I can come up with for such a gorgeous and infectious song to be out so early.
Shameful.

#36. "Things To Do In Wichita"
Total Points: 421 Average: 30.0 Year Released: December, 2008 Mediabase Peak: Did Not Chart Billboard Peak: Did Not Chart Rankings:.indulgecountry - 8 zack97 - 12 kw9461 - 14 bboat11 - 21 sabre14 - 22 Kanenrá:ke - 28 castleoblivion26 - 33 George Strait Junkie - 36 Cody Wants Out... - 37 CoJoFan - 38 LBTrocks - 38 tim - 40 ClevelandRox - 45 gardyfan - 49 "Things To Do In Wichita" was the fourth single off Mark Chesnutt's Rollin' With The Flow album in December of 2008. The song was another one that got more airplay on secondary radio. It was written by Jimmy Ritchey and Bog Regan. Ritchey was Chesnutt's producer for this era and co-wrote "I'm a Saint", along with co-writing some of Jake Owen's singles. He also produced William Michael Morgan's Vinyl album.
I thought this was one of Mark's best singles after his radio was through. Great production and the easy-going melody.

#34. "The Lord Loves The Drinkin' Man"
Total Points: 419 Average: 29.9 Year Released: July, 2004 Radio & Records Peak: #37 Billboard Peak: #36 Rankings:George Strait Junkie - 12 Kanenrá:ke - 16 gardyfan - 19 Cody Wants Out... - 20 zack97 - 23 LBTrocks - 24 CoJoFan - 25 .indulgecountry - 27 kw9461 - 34 castleoblivion26 - 39 sabre14 - 42 bboat11 - 45 ClevelandRox - 46 tim - 47 "The Lord Loves The Drinkin' Man" was the lead single off Mark Chesnutt's Savin' The Honky Tonk album in July of 2004. It was off independent Vivation!. The song was written by Texas country artist, Kevin Fowler.
I love that this song's feel is so undeniably country. But the lyrics, not big on them. I still find this song enjoyable. This album was really good though. Looking back, they probably should have picked another song for the lead single.

#32. "She Never Got Me Over You"
Total Points: 413 Average: 29.5 Year Released: March, 2009 Mediabase Peak: #57 Billboard Peak: #49 Rankings:kw9461 - 4 Kanenrá:ke - 10 George Strait Junkie - 20 LBTrocks - 23 ClevelandRox - 26 .indulgecountry - 26 zack97 - 30 bboat11 - 35 sabre14 - 35 tim - 35 gardyfan - 36 CoJoFan - 41 castleoblivion26 - 42 Cody Wants Out... - 50 "She Never Got Me Over You" was the fifth single off Mark Chesnutt's Rollin' With The Flow album in March of 2009. It reached #49 on Billboard a few weeks later and made the top 45 of Country Aircheck's Activator chart. A few Texas stations came to support this single. It was written long before Mark recorded it in 2007, by Keith Whitley, Dean Dillon and Hank Cochran. The song was 20 years old by the time it was sent to radio.
I probably under-ranked this by a few spaces at least. It does get better with every listen. Stone cold country song with a great backstory and was the final song to chart for Chesnutt.

#31. "A Good Way To Get On My Bad Side" (with Tracy Byrd)
Total Points: 411 Average: 29.3 Year Released: March, 2001 Radio & Records Peak: #18 Billboard Peak: #21 Rankings:George Strait Junkie - 3 gardyfan - 10 LBTrocks - 13 CoJoFan - 17 castleoblivion26 - 17 Cody Wants Out... - 19 ClevelandRox - 21 .indulgecountry - 41 bboat11 - 43 tim - 43 zack97 - 45 Kanenrá:ke - 46 sabre14 - 46 kw9461 - 47 "A Good Way To Get On My Bad Side" was the lead single off Tracy Byrd's Ten Rounds album in March of 2001. It was a duet with Mark Chesnutt. It peaked at #18 on R&R in July. The song was written by Rivers Rutherford and George Teren. I still can't believe they chose this as the lead single off that album for Tracy. It's not bad but definitely isn't among either Mark or Tracy's best. George Strait Junkie loses a top 5 and gardyfan loses a top 10. Six total top 20 placements and seven bottom 10 placements, makes this one of the most polarizing songs in this rankdown.

I love "This Heartache Never Sleeps" and do not regret my Top 10 rank one bit. I also think it was a huge step up from "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" and should have been the bigger hit.
I have always enjoyed "A Good Way To Get On My Bad Side", though it hasn't aged as well as I thought it would. I probably overranked it but I enjoy it well enough.
Very strong Top 30. Cannot wait to see how this goes.

It was originally a song by The Marshall Tucker Band in 1977 and charted both on Billboard's Top 100 and Billboard Country. It was written by Marshall Tucker Band's lead guitarist, Toy Caldwell. Good cover here by Mark. Not a huge fan of the original but Mark makes this his own. Discography was too strong to rank it higher. bboat11 loses a top 5 song at #30.

#29. "Rollin' With The Flow"
Total Points: 403 Average: 28.7 Year Released: August, 2007 Mediabase Peak: #26 Billboard Peak: #25 Rankings:sabre14 - 14 LBTrocks - 16 tim - 20 zack97 - 22 kw9461 - 24 Kanenrá:ke - 25 CoJoFan - 30 Cody Wants Out... - 30 gardyfan - 30 bboat11 - 31 George Strait Junkie - 34 castleoblivion26 - 41 ClevelandRox - 41 .indulgecountry - 45 "Rollin' With The Flow" was the lead single off Mark Chesnutt's album of the same name for Lofton Creek Records in August of 2007. Lofton Creek mainly focused on secondary radio but after initial response was good out of the gate for "Rollin' With The Flow", they decided to push hard for mainstream airplay and it wound up reaching the top 25 on Billboard by February of 2008. The song was written by Jerry Hayes and originally recorded by Charlie Rich in 1977, who took it to #1. The song was Chesnutt's first top 40 hit in 3 years and would end up being his last.
I've always loved Mark's rendition of this song. It has a great melody and such a well-produced track, too. I think it fit Chesnutt's point of his career perfectly as well. This was a huge success for him and Lofton Creek Records. A small independent label who didn't achieve much mainstream chart success, got an artist his first top 30 single in over 5 years. It only reached 64 monitored Mediabase stations but the ones who added it, supported it to get it as high as it did.

It peaked at #38 on R&R in October. A month later, his cover of "I Don't Want To Miss a Thing" was released to radio. "Wherever You Are" was written by Roger Springer, Tony Martin and Reese Wilson.
Good song here but again, Mark's discography is too strong for me to put higher. Something about this song's chorus melody pulls me in. The lyrics aren't anything special but it has a certain charm about it.
