Sigh, the song drops 22-23 on the Billboard Hot Country songs chart, and seems to be treading water on the Country Airplay and Mediabase charts. It's making small gains, but is about to be passed by Blake and Eric Church. But two songs from up above will go recurrent shortly (Combs, Michael Ray). Which leaves George still somewhere in the 19-22 range. I'm hoping it can at least match I Got a Car at #17 (plus RIAA gold status). It looks like a top 10 is not in the cards. "Every Little Honky Tonk Bar" has now matched the peak of 2013's "I Got A Car" which peaked at #17 back in 2014 and is #17 this week on Billboard Country Airplay Songs but still gaining and could still go higher. Don't count this out just yet. It has slowed down but still hanging on and song is still young even though it has been at radio a little over 2 months now. 2000's "Don't Make Me Come Over There And Love You" also peaked at #17 in early 2001 for Strait. Theoretically the song could have another 20-25 weeks of climbing left in it if it's compared to many songs on the chart today. Very few songs zoom to the top any longer, and those that do aren't by a solo artist who is about to turn 67 years old. If the song got to the top somehow, it would be like Nicklaus winning the Masters at 46 years old. Something that doesn't happen anymore and would set a record for longest span between #1s. I wouldn't count on it

What chart are you looking at? Every Little Honky Tonk Bar fell 18-19 on the May 4 chart, is the May 11 chart out yet? I can see him maybe moving 19-17 on the May 11 chart, since two big fallers will go recurrent next week (Michael Ray, Riley Green). I would be thrilled to reach #17 and match I Got a Car. That would match his biggest hit in 7 years, and as you point out, still a chance to move higher. Stapleton took a year to reach #1 with Millionaire, so there's always hope.

Yeah, it looks like the BDS chart is the same chart, but one week behind the one posted on Billboard, even though they both list the same date. I'm happy George has (at least) matched I Got a Car, I was starting to think his chart days were over.

I'm a little that George Strait went a decade without making a single music video and then now we suddenly already have more music videos from his new era than we do singles.

I know heâs 67, but he sounds great and this is damn catchy. Hope it can eke out a Top 10 finish

I think this song will go top 10 and could go even higher.

Top 10 would be so damn cool. I really thought GIAWGT was going to be his last one.

When we got an actual video for âCĂłdigoâ I fully expected a live video for âEvery Little Honky Tonk Barâ so Iâm not surprised. I still remain quite optimistic about this and think itâll all least be pushed to the top 10. Given that weâve been offered a video and that George is adding more dates to his list of live performances I see no reason why MCA wouldât keep pushing this further possibly for a top 5 finish or even a #1 come summertime.

Dead last in callout. Highest negative and fairly high heavy burn rate.

Dead last in callout. Highest negative and fairly high heavy burn rate. Yeah, yikes! I think it would take a miracle to get this into the Top 10. I think realistically the best shot seems to be a Top 15 finish.

Dead last in callout. Highest negative and fairly high heavy burn rate. Honestly are the people who report to callout like all 16 year old boys who steal PBR from their dad's fridge?

I actually looked at the callout more in depth and it seems like a lot of the negative callout scores are due to the female audience. For male audience the negative isn't bad for this song. But for both Women younger and older the negative rate is over 25%.

Familiarity is still a little low so hopefully the callout can improve a bit in the next few weeks.

Be prepared to have a fight with someone or others. Lol. Nice to see a man warn another off the repercussions of sexism rather than defend women or call him out. đđ

I'm guessing you were probably trying to make a joke but sexist comments are not welcomed here.

Jason Aldean & Luke Bryan will probably pass George pretty quick but after that I donât see a real threat for some time....Maybe Keith Urban.
Jon Pardi, Chase Rice & EYB will be gone soon. And George actually had a pretty good week. I think top 15 is a lock....still hoping for top 10.

Wow, the audience gains are really piling up the last few days. After months of languishing in the 18M-19M range, it finally reached 20M yesterday, and is over 21M today. This is very encouraging to say the least.

Is that good or bad? I don't really understand the ramifications of that, please explain.

Like ladyđfan mentioned, Westwood One isn't on the Billboard panel, so those audience gains won't count towards the airplay chart, just Billboard. It's also worth noting, if you're point out audience gains for a song. If one station (doesn't even have to be Westwood One), is accounting for a large chunk of a song's gains, it's reason to look at the big picture. Yes, better to have W1 be a song's ally but conversions from one media conglomerate (iHeart, Cumulus, etc.), which would account for dozens of stations, is more important of determining a song's continued chart chances, vs. a Mediabase only syndicated station.
