The new deadline is tomorrow at midnight, so one more day. .indulgecountry said he needed an extra day and I might not reveal until the weekend, so if anyone gets me a list by Thursday morning, you should be good.

I'm halfway through as well and will try to get done. I like B&R. That said, I find that ranking their songs is a bit more challenging for whatever reason.

I just sent in. Thanks for pulling this together. Some of my choices may not be overly popular, but as its been pointed out in the George Strait rankdown, my favorites tend to leave early.
B&R is one of those groups I really like, but they are not the type of group where I want to play one song of theirs after another. I like their songs interspersed with others, more than just a straight listen.

1. Which song do you see winning? I'd think "Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)" because it is ICONIC, but I'm guessing some people don't like the kick-ass version of Big and Rich. Maybe "Lost in This Moment"?
2. Which songs will place in the top 5? "Save a Horse", "Lost in This Moment," "8th of November," "Look at You," "Holy Water"
3. Which song will be our last place? "Party Like Cowboyz" - not their best tune, but a very fun video
4. Which other songs do you see not faring well? Everything rocking outside of "Save a Horse" - particularly "Loud"
5. Which song(s) will be the most polarizing? "That's Why I Pray," "Save a Horse," "Coming To Your City"
6. Which album will have all its participating songs eliminated first? Hillbilly Jedi
7. How high do you see your #1 placing? I would hope Top 10, but i wouldn't be surprised to see Top 20.

1. Which song do you see winning? "Save A Horse (Ride A Cowboy)" should easily win.
2. Which songs will place in the top 5? I think the 4 singles from Horse Of A Different Color will fill along with "Lost In This Moment"
3. Which song will be our last place? "Party Like Cowboyz"
4. Which other songs do you see not faring well? "Fake ID", "Loud", "That's How They Do It In Dixie"
5. Which song(s) will be the most polarizing? "Shuttin' Detroit Down", "Rollin", and "I Play Chicken With The Train"
6. Which album will have all its participating songs eliminated first? Hillbilly Jedi
7. How high do you see your #1 placing? I can see it sneaking into the top 20.

#36. "Party Like Cowboyz"
Total Points: 461 Average: 30.7 Year Released: December 3rd, 2012 Mediabase Peak: #52 Billboard Peak: #57 Rankings: ChicaCherry콜라 - 7 LBTrocks - 7 tim - 27 Kanenrá:ke - 30 phil1996 - 34 bboat11 - 35 castleoblivion26 - 35 .indulgecountry - 35 zaclord 🌈 - 35 ClevelandRox - 36 gonecountry - 36 George Strait Junkie - 36 kw9461 - 36 sabre14 - 36 zack97 - 36 "Party Like Cowboyz" was the second single off Big & Rich's fourth studio album, Hillbilly Jedi in December of 2012. It only spent six weeks climbing, peaking at #52 on Mediabase and #57 on Billboard in January of 2013. Kenny and John wrote the song with Rodney Clawson and Vicky McGehee. Hillbilly Jedi would also be the first album not produced by Paul Worley, but rather Dann Huff.
This has always been my least favorite from them. I can certainly see this being fun in concert but as a radio single? No, please. It should've stayed an album track. Terrible single choice and the title made it that much worse.

For fuck's sake! Did you two randomly decide this sounds like a Chris Cagle song or something?

#34. "That's How They Do It In Dixie"
Total Points: 378 Average: 25.2 Year Released: February, 2006 Radio & Records Peak: #33 Billboard Peak: #35 Rankings:George Strait Junkie - 10 zaclord 🌈 - 15 ClevelandRox - 19 LBTrocks - 19 .indulgecountry - 20 sabre14 - 23 gonecountry - 24 phil1996 - 28 bboat11 - 29 zack97 - 29 kw9461 - 30 tim - 30 Kanenrá:ke - 31 ChicaCherry콜라 - 35 castleoblivion26 - 36 "That's How They Do It In Dixie" was the lead single off Hank Williams Jr's Essential Hits collection album, titled the same. It was released in February of 2006 and peaked at #33 on R&R in June. The song features Big & Rich, Van Zant and Gretchen Wilson. The song was written by Chris Tompkins, Josh Kear and Mark Irwin. All three are accomplished songwriters. Tompkins and Kear wrote "Before He Cheats" and "Blown Away" for Carrie Underwood.
Looking back, I probably should've included this in the 2006 country rankdown lol. I actually like this one. It's got some stupid lyrics and isn't anywhere close to deep but it's got a fun melody, good production and it brings back memories of 2006 for me. This was the last top 40 country radio hit for Hank Williams Jr..

Okay how have we lost 3 songs so far and none of them are "I Play Chicken with the Train"?!? That song is atrocious.

#36. "Party Like Cowboyz"
For f**k's sake! Did you two randomly decide this sounds like a Chris Cagle song or something? I don't know why sabre14 doesn't like it but "Party Like Cowboyz" is quintessential Big & Rich! Sounds like it came straight off either their first or second album. Jam.

#33. "Loud"
Total Points: 373 Average: 24.8 Year Released: November, 2007 Mediabase Peak: #45 Billboard Peak: #42 Rankings:gonecountry - 5 LBTrocks - 6 ChicaCherry콜라 - 9 zaclord 🌈 - 19 tim - 20 ClevelandRox - 22 bboat11 - 30 phil1996 - 30 castleoblivion26 - 31 Kanenrá:ke - 32 kw9461 - 32 zack97 - 33 .indulgecountry - 34 George Strait Junkie - 35 sabre14 - 35 "Loud" was the third and final single off Big & Rich's third studio album, Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace album in November of 2007. It peaked at #42 on Billboard and #45 on Mediabase in January of 2008. The song was written by Kirsti Manna, Darla Perlozzi and Danny Myrick. Perlozzi was the drummer in all-girl band, Cowboy Crush ("Nobody Ever Died of a Broken Heart") and Myrick was part of the 90's country band, Western Flyer. Myrick also was an unofficial member of the trio, The Farm.
When this album came out I was fearful this would end up being a single. If they wanted upbeat, "Radio" would have been a far better choice. Country radio showed no interest in this song. The only reason it got to the top 45 was because the chart was extremely weak in January of 2008 (low point/audience totals).

"Did It For The Party" is really bad. Glad it didn't make it very far.
"That's How They Do It In Dixie" is good, but not great... not that sad to see it leave.

Sounds like it came straight off either their first or second album. Jam. I don't think it's nearly as creative as the songs off their first two albums but I agree it has that sound of their early days. The title is also so unbelievably cheesy however, it's impossible to look past.
