Really surprised that "Mr. Brightside" had less #1's than "Somewhere Only We Know", but I'm not complaining. 1 vs. 13. My #1 would be a really obvious and predictable winner, so I'm definitely fine with my #13 winning and making things a bit more interesting. Between the final 3 songs, only six participants had "Mr Brightside" had was the least favorite for only 6 participants, while the #2 song was least favorite for 9 participants and the #1 song was least favorite for 14 participants. So basically a lot of people didn't feel the need to tank the rankdown winner since it has no bottom 10 scores, so a big part of the reason it won was that it has a lower SD than the #2 and Mr Brightside which had 3 and 4 bottom 10 scores, respectively.

For what it's worth, it would have only taken one person to reduce their ranking for Boulevard of Broken dreams by 5 positions for it to end up in 2nd place so it was really close and either song could've won. Maybe next time? I'm planning on eventually making a big showdown rankdown of the top 5-10 performing songs from all of my rock RDs.

Ugh, I totally regret ranking Green Day so high. I just really loved it like 15 years ago but it hasn't aged well at all.

The #1 song started out a bit slow, it was still #7 about halfway through the submission process, but slow and steady won the race, pulling into #1 with only the last submission. [secret]/[secret]/4/4/5/3/5/8/5/4/4/4/7/4/7/5/3/3/4/4/4/3/3/3/3/3/3/2/2/1 The #2 song spent the most time of any song at #1 during the submission process [secret]/[secret]/7/7/3/2/2/2/2/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/2/1/1/1/2 Since the submission order is not listed anywhere, who's responsible for the last submission, so they can be tarred and feathered appropriately?

I could have easily made the difference, given that there's not much separating, say, BOBD and "Since U Been Gone" for me.
You can choose to blame me for this. I remain baffled that Keane was even in this position at all.

I really really like Boulevard of Broken Dreams as you can tell by my #1 so I'm not unhappy about the results, but it would have been cool to have a totally unexpected winner here.

and thank you the two Hurt tankers for the winner. Yeah, "Hurt" would have definitely gone all the way up from #12 to #1 without the two us. Obviously happy with this winner, as it was my #1, but Keane would have definitely been a more interesting winner. I'm happy with this result, nonetheless.
