Old Town Road's still safe, seemingly, but I wonder if anything this week will become the 4th new #2 in a row? Will DJ Khaled hit the jackpot like he did 2 years ago? Will Halsey cement her status as a big deal with a #2 debut for Nightmare?
In any case, some early reads:
-8 songs from DJ Khaled's new album will be receiving music videos from today to the 20th. Could this lead to a Lemonade-esque album bomb? It seems the main pushed track is either going to be the first one (Higher feat. Nipsey Hussle & John Legend) or the last one (Wish Wish feat. Cardi B. & 21 Savage). -Tyler, the Creator looks to have an album bomb coming with notable traction on Apple Music. -There's an outside chance for Slipknot to chart as Unsainted is top 10 on sales if it sticks around.

Halsey is debuting Top 10 guaranteed, I can tell you that. It seems like Higher is being pushed first, as it's #1 on the New Music Friday playlist on Spotify and it got the first of 8 videos DJ Khaled is releasing this week. Also, something else that's notable is that Lizzo is on the top of the Today's Top Hits playlist on Spotify, expect an even bigger gain for Truth Hurts this week.

DJ Khaled's "Celebrate" ft. Travis Scott and Post Malone is probably gonna have a top 10 debut

DJ Khaled's "Celebrate" ft. Travis Scott and Post Malone is probably gonna have a top 10 debut I wish it was better tbh for the caliber of Travis and Post together. Travis completely ruins the chorus with the autotune for me sadly, I'm sure it'll still do well on streaming though. The SZA song, Nipsey/John and 21 Savage/Cardi B are the highlights of the album.

I wish they woulda had more Post, put him on the hook and make Travis do more verses. It'll probably grow on me though.

Just Us is at #6 and Celebrate is at #15 on Today’s Top Hits while Higher is at #1, Wish Wish is at #5, and Weather The Storm is at #8 on Rap Caviar. So it seems like they’re pushing different songs on each playlist.

With how good the video for Nightmare is and how good the song itself is, I'd be quite dissaponted if doesn't debut top 10

Halsey is definitely going to debut in the top 10! Not sure about DJ Khaled... i think Old town road has a lock for no.1 for 9 weeks until Miley and Katy Perry new singles drop..

"Higher" would be the highest one, given it already got the video first aside from the other releases, thus it would be given the most attention. "Celebrate" would be pushed well given it's radio-friendly, that or "Just Us" with SZA. While "Wish Wish" or "Jealous" would do well in the Hip-Hop scene. "You Stay" would attract some Latin listeners given it feature J Balvin. With Halsey's "Nightmare" and then DJ Khaled's album which I can expect 2-3 songs debuting there, the Top 10 is bound to be shaken up so bad.

Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus has blocked Taylor, Shawn, Ed and Justin Bieber, and possibly Halsey or which DJ Khaled ends up the highest. Old Town Road is obviously on a roll.

And they said "Old Town Road" is a one-off novelty meme song... The bitterness Billy Ray would feel if Old Town Road would be dethroned by the future release of his own daughter.

Tyler the Creator is getting slightly more traction on AM than DJ Khaled. The former has 6 songs ahead of the 2 most popular ones from the latter - Higher and Wish Wish - which are currently at #19 and #21 respectively.
Halsey's new song is #28 on the AM Alternative chart, which is #450-500 on the all genre chart. That seems quite low? I'm assuming it will still debut good on the Hot 100 regardless.
Also, OTR remix is back to #1 while the original is #70.

The OTR video is just kind of meh, nothing special about it. I disagree! I love it for the culture. Would I watch it over and over again? No. But this is a really good debut music video. Props to Columbia Records and Lil Nas they really wanna milk this song forever

Celebrate - Big Boy Talk is the best 5 track run in the past 6 albums DJ Khaled has released and that's saying something. Unlike he believes, all the songs on his album aren't bangers. I like the strategy he's using to roll out this album, but I doubt it works the way he thinks/hopes it will.
I love Halsey's new single. Didn't care much for the video. Love the single more than I loved Without Me when it first dropped.
Lana Del Rey dropped a new single, too and it's REALLY GOOD (but it's a cover).
Megan Thee Stallion's project (debut album/mixtape?) is really good. Y'all should definitely check it out if you like her stuff.
I'm still getting around to IGOR, but I like what I've heard so far. I appreciate Tyler still taking chances as an artist.
Carly Rae Jepsen's new album doesn't match up to her last album and that's sad. This new album is flat althrough. A really unrewarding listen.

I wonder if "HP" by Maluma will finally chart. He just dropped a new album, so that might be the push it needs to get to the bottom regions of the Hot 100.

Slightly off topic, but still relevant to the Hot 100 chart. Another reminder that Max Martin is over and has been replaced by infinitely more talented and versatile producer. http://instagr.am/p/Bxk2MvkjiCR

So why exactly were people here disappointed by the "Old Town Road" video? I didn't really know what to expect but it was pretty cool, I laughed a couple times even. I'm definitely not a big fan of music videos that keep cutting the song to feature acting, but with a song that short I kinda get it.
