I think Make You Miss Me, while a fine song, is in the top 5 only because it was a single. Rooting for Take Your Time to win this, now that Come Over crashed and burned a while ago.
I also am surprised at how Body Like a Back Road and Kinfolks did. They're so... plain.

^ I literally thought the same for "Raised On It" & "House Party".

"Raised On It" wasn't a single from this album, but it might as well have been. This song was Sam's first single before the album was made, and was eventually included on the album. It almost made the top 40 back then. For some reason, listening to this song just now, I just got hit with a huge wave of summertime nostalgia! I did not love the song immediately when I heard it the first time (I believe it was when y'all made me include it in the 2014 year-end rankdown), but it has grown on me immensely as the years have gone by, to the point where I now consider it to be quite a jam! I still like the 4 remaining songs better, so I am glad to see this bow out at #5, but I think it is a fitting top 5 finisher.

This song wore on me a bit from overplay, and it was my least favorite single from the album to begin with, which is why it is the only single from this album that ended up missing my top 10. That being said, I still think this is a fantastic song, and I am pretty happy seeing it finish in the top 4!

"Take Your Time" is the quintessential, perfect Sam Hunt song to me. The blend of talking and singing in the verses feels so oddly fresh and creative, and despite my initial "wtf" reaction, it hit my ear in a really positive way, and I have only come to love the song more ever since. And even if you overlook the verses, that chorus is so insanely catchy! I am thrilled this song was able to do so well, because I knew it would get some haters. It only had one #1 rank from yours truly, but a whole slurry of top 3 votes from fearlessarrow, castleoblivion26, maine, @xfer, .indulgecountry, and george made this one quite a dominant force despite the incredibly floppy ranking from ClevelandRox!

In the battle of "House Party" versus "Leave The Night On", the lead single LTNO reigns victorious by a pretty substantial and decisive margin of 18 points!!! "House Party" was barely able to sneak past "Take Your Time" by 3 points. I wasn't the one to enter most of these lists, but it appears to me that this one was probably the primary #1 contender for the majority of the submission process. With everybody putting this in their top 5 except for 2 people, and everybody putting it in their top 10 except for @xfer, this one was definitely a huge force.
Both of these also feel like quintessential Sam Hunt songs, so I am very happy with this top 2! Would have loved to see "Take Your Time" sneak in too, but this is definitely the ideal top 3 in my opinion :)
Thank you all for participating!! I'm glad I was finally able to get you your results!!

Also I have always wondered this... Anybody know what the heck that Donkey Kong sound is that keeps happening in the background throughout "House Party"? Like, is it literally a Donkey Kong sample?!?!?

Would've preferred "House Party" win as its my favorite Sam Hunt song, but I'm glad it got runner-up! LTNO is a jam too though so not really much to complain about this outcome. It was what I would've expected to win, too. Thanks bboat11 for taking this thing out of the garbage bin that HowdyHey left it in and dusting it off for us!

Yayyyy "Leave the Night On" won! It was the song that pulled me into Sam and it also was one of the songs that I associate with my very first semester of college so it has a special place in my heart. And yes to my top 4 being the top 4 songs albeit in different order! Thanks for finishing up the reveals for this one bboat11!

I am truly shocked that Take Your Time didn't win. I guess as usual I am a bit disconnected to the general feelings about songs from people in this forum. And House Party, once TYT didn't win, couldn't grab the win from LTNO? I am pretty confused about it lol I mean, I love all those songs, just that I never consider that most of you had a different view than mine lol
Thanks bboat11 for completing this and being the usual great host!
