"CoCo Lee is to China what Utada is to Japan; the Chinese-American singer has enjoyed a long and prosperous career in the Chinese market as Utada has maintained in Japan. This was CoCo's international debut single after she signed a US record deal with Epic Records. Her English-language career never took off, as the single and parent album 'Just No Other Way' failed to catch on. Coco's greatest success with her English debut was actually Australia, where this song reached the top 15. Australia is also the only place where follow-up 'Wherever You Go' charted (in the top 30). This was a dark horse performer that I'd expected would join the fodder pile, so I enjoyed seeing it gain traction. I'm also happy it made the top 10 although it's dampened that it came at the expence of Mel C and Utada."Exclusive 2 newpower 4 samo๐ฆ 5 maine 6 @doinktheclown 7 ๐

CoCo is a vocal beast!
Sadly the music industry was not ready for that Asian diva 20 years ago.

Okay but like y'all really let Xtina get this far for name recognition alone If I was ranking on name recognition alone, Slow Down Baby wouldn't be as high as it is on my list. I haven't enjoyed many Aguilera tracks as much as I did this one.

"Hilary Duff found a sound that really worked for her on third album 'Dignity', she just never could find the success she may have deserved from her music - if only because Hollywood Records was notorious for being completely inept at managing their artists. This is probably symptomatic of them expecting the Disney Channel to carry the full weight of promotion for their artists (as evidenced by the next wave of Disney stars who actually could find some degree of success through iTunes and album sales in spite of a traditional radio rollout. This song was the second single from 'Dignity', and it utterly bombed due to Hollywood not getting the concept that radio won't play songs 'just because' and generally being as bad as RCA are nowadays in terms of quitting (oh, X flopped so we won't put any effort into Y and/or Z!) Here's another song I didn't necessarily see doing well, but it found its feet early and was one of two songs Andrae switched around in the top 10 at the last second."alexcuse 2 SHOOTER 3 Exclusive 6 Juan Carlos 6 ๐

"Of all the potential surprise contenders in this game, this is easily one of my favourites. Sophie has never pursued the US market to my knowledge, and I don't recall seeing anything resembling a following of her on Pulse, so to see this comfortably ride the top 10 all the way through was really cool to witness. This song was the lead single from Sophie's third album 'Trip The Light Fantastic', hitting the top 10 in her native UK and finding a smattering of minor successes across Europe and Australia. With the average life expectancy of a pop artist's commercial success being limited, this would be Sophie's last true hit; she would have a few other tracks crack the UK charts since, but this was her final appearance in the top 10."Juan Carlos 4 Sambalada 4 Ty 5 Red 7willapted33 7@trilogy 7alexcuse 13 singingrulebritannia 13 samo๐ฆ 15 Az Paynter 15 @doinktheclown 15 SHOOTER 16 maine 16 @crapkuki23 18 newpower 20 Adrian C. ๐ 21 @antigonerising 24 Exclusive 28 Albie 32 ๐

"The fourth single from 'Back To Basics', this song never got the US push it deserved following the underperformance of 'Candyman'. In fact, Australia was the only territory this song was released, where it fell just shy of the top 20. Europe would get 'Oh Mother' as the fourth single instead. This song is a highlight from 'Back To Basics' for me, and probably the best song on disc 1 (the sample-heavy 'modern' side to the double album). I'm quite pleased it was able to perform strongly, although a top 5 finish would have been nice too."samo๐ฆ 1Exclusive 1willapted33 3 singingrulebritannia 5 Az Paynter 6Albie 7 @trilogy 9 maine 9 Ty 10 newpower 10 @antigonerising 10 SHOOTER 12 Adrian C. ๐ 14 Red 16 ๐

Let's see if I can do this without spoiler tagging.
#10: "House is Not a Home" is no "Nobody's Supposed to Be Here", but it does its job and sounds decent. #9: Not quite the song I would have expected to be the one to get the big boost into the top ten at the end, but it's one of my two lowest, so fine. This hits me in that nostalgic sweet spot for this era. If I wasn't nostalgic for this sound, this probably would have been in or very close to my bottom ten. #8: I dropped this? Wow. I know what an outsider would think: "Wait, Hilary Duff? Really, guys?" But the Dignity project works WAY better than you would think. This song and "Gypsy Woman", in particular, are miles ahead of what Hilary's Disney contemporaries were pulling off at the time. #7: I mean, sure, I'll take a perfecto, but this probably should have made the top five. Sophie's great. #6: Wow! I thought it was coming down to this and another song for #1. Shocking. Not complaining, because this, technically, is one of my lowest remaining, but this is a pretty solid Aggy song.
At the rate we're going, I'm probably going to be one of the lowest rankings on my #29. Oh dear.

"Jamelia out there serving looks in the music video and this was the best they could do for cover art? Could they not have used a still from the video instead? 'Beware Of The Dog' was the second single from British singer Jamelia's third album 'Walk With Me', built around a sample of Depeche Mode's 'Personal Jesus'. The song became Jamelia's final UK top 10, and spent a single week at #50 in Australia. This is another song I LOVED to watch progress, as it never left the top 5 once and was even able to sneak in time at the top on two separate occasions."๐

"I hate this cover art too WHY?!?!?! This song, for me, is the greatest thing to come out of Mandy's time as a pop artist (yes, I liked 'Candy' and loved 'In My Pocket' but this > those). It served as the third single from her self-titled third album, as well as a single supporting the soundtrack to Mandy's film 'A Walk To Remember'. It was included on the soundtrack because Mandy thought it was thematically appropriate to the film. I'm very happy this song performed strongly throughout the game, it was one I was really hoping could do well as there has otherwise been no other opportunity to showcase this song in a Pulse game (it was a total flop of course, so no Billboard/non-US lists for it to appear on)."alexcuse 1@doinktheclown 3 Az Paynter 4samo๐ฆ 4Sambalada 5 Juan Carlos 5 @antigonerising 6 willapted33 10 maine 10 @crapkuki23 11 #LisaRinna 12 Adrian C. ๐ 13 Red 14 @trilogy 17 SHOOTER 18 ๐
