Old Town Road – It got annoying real fast, and the countless remixes didn't help.
7 rings – The worst song on TU,N by far. She literally had Bad Idea sitting right there!
ME! - What a fucking disappointment. Two months of teasing, theories and constant hype. Again, the worst song on the album. Even INTHAF has more charm than this and far better lyrics. She could've released, oh I don't know, ALMOST ANYTHING ELSE ON THE ALBUM and I would've been happy! Screw her and her "I don't want the lead single to represent the album" bullshit. Like, okay, I get her point but could you NOT RELEASE THE ABSOLUTE WORST SONG OF YOUR CAREER? If she pulls this crap again with TS8, I will throw myself onto some train tracks because OH MY GOD THIS IS RIDICULOUS. THIS PUTA REALLY EXPECTS US TO LIKE THIS KIDZBOP-LITE SHIT AS HER LEAD SINGLE LIKE WHAT WAS GOING THROUGH HER MI—

ME! - What a f**king disappointment. Two months of teasing, theories and constant hype. Again, the worst song on the album. Even INTHAF has more charm than this and far better lyrics. She could've released, oh I don't know, ALMOST ANYTHING ELSE ON THE ALBUM and I would've been happy! Screw her and her "I don't want the lead single to represent the album" bulls**t. THIS PUTA REALLY EXPECTS US TO LIKE THIS KIDZBOP-LITE s**t AS HER LEAD SINGLE LIKE WHAT WAS GOING THROUGH HER MI— There's another thread under the same topic, but since you're a new member, that's alright. 😄 I think there were worse songs this year than "7 rings" and "ME!", but when it comes to sheer disappointment, these two definitely take the cake, so I couldn't agree more on that. Honestly, it's so frustrating that both Taylor and Ariana released the two worst songs off their respective albums as singles ('ME!'/'YNTCD' and '7 rings'/'buwyg,ib') when they had truly incredible songs right there, begging to be promoted to the world. It's hard to forgive them for not making the likes of "bad idea", "bloodline", "needy", "Cruel Summer", "The Man", and "Paper Rings" as singles. Truly unforgivable...

If it helps, I could just copy my rant to the initial thread. But yeah, I remember being very excited for both "7 rings" and "ME!" especially after how great "thank u, next" and "Delicate" were. And when the songs actually came around, I was speechless and not in a good way. I have videos of the first time I listened to "ME!", and I struggled to find anything to say. It was just so bad. And the two songs actually ruined my excitement for their respective albums, despite those albums actually being some of the beat the year had to offer. Taylor would've benefitted greatly from releasing something undeniably great, considering what a commercial failure "ME!" was.
