Take My Breath is #17 on iTunes already, the track has been discounted to 69 cents. Sjsuxjzjsjs they wasted NO time. Number 1 debut coming.

Everyone remember to partake in the prayer circle to ensure no BTS shenanigans prevent this from debuting at #1
Anyways the song is a bop,the beat is hot.

I went in expecting to love this but it’s not as strong as the After Hours singles - and I LOVED those.
IDK. He’s done the Max Martin synth pop thing and he’s done it incredibly well already. Not sure he’s stretched the sound enough here, but reserving judgment for a few more listens and the album.

I love this! It's so euphoric. It captures everything that I loved about 80s Synthpop and Hi Nrg but within a modern context.
I would love to see this smash and be everywhere for a while.

After listening to the new hit by The Weeknd, I think this one seems to be another winner for him! Could be a major hit on the Hot 100 and on the Pop radio charts! (could be a number one hit for him!)

He's really got the Midas touch, doesn't he? This is really good, a complete and total earworm. And another HIT.

Agree with all the positive comments. This is his best lead single since “The Hills” (was that even the lead single or CFMF?) either way it’s more instant and sounds like a smash. Overall I would rank it right below “Blinding Lights” at the moment…something about that song will always give more.

Do not like it, it is rather unoriginal... and you are like the definition of the original with your posts... Wow, I really love the song already! This is how you start an era.

The extended version he played during Memento Mori on AM is even better, it adds more of the bridge melody to the beginning. I hope this version is what’s gonna end up on the album.

Do not like it, it is rather unoriginal... I think it's pretty damn great considering he'd just be an Ethiopian farmer otherwise. The emotion is important, it can be the same amount of emotions having a number one hit or your sheep giving birth to a gorgeous hogget!

It's just ok for me.
But it follows the same formula as Blinding Lights. Smash.

Love the bootylicious sample Huh? Ok... 1. Bootylicious uses a very prominent sample from Stevie Nicks' Edge of Seventeen. 2. I don't hear anything like either of those songs in this one.

I hope this has a massive opening week. I also hope BTS blocks this from number one on the Hot 100 so more people can see how problematic they/Billboard are.

It’s kind of faint but I definitely heard it. Loved this on first listen. Should definitely smash right out of the gate and those crazy BTS fans better not block it.. Edit: okay nvm it’s not really like Edge of Seventeen. I was just really high when I first listened to it lol

This is an Awesome Song and I like how The Weeknd is still Venturing in that Classic 1980's Sound, In fact this is the most that I liked a Song from him since "Blinding Lights". Mark my words this Song is going to become the next "Blinding Lights" in terms of overall Longevity on the Hot 100.

I think this song is ok. The production and the instruments make it better. People on this forum just assume that because Blinding Lights was huge, that everything he releases is gonna be huge.

I love this on first listen. The chorus is catchy and the production is addictive.
This definitely feels like the best direction for The Weeknd to go after his last era. Tbh, I hear elements from both his After Hours and Starboy albums on this song.
The Weeknd has huge momentum right now. This should be huge hit him and I’d be surprised if this doesn’t hit #1 (barring any chart manipulation).

Wow this great!! I love when the beat drops out and comes back in. I also don’t think it sounds as 80’s as “Building Lights”. I’m going to be that person and compare them even though they have nothing to do with each other . Lol I prefer this to “Building Lights”..

I liked the singles from After Hours, but I like this one even more. I haven't liked a single by him this much in several years. "Blinding Lights" is a classic, but I prefer the chorus on this one.

The chorus is the weakest part of the song, the structure and "Take My Breath Away" is such a cliche, this song is meant to sound "perfect" and it does sound "prefect", but if there was a ready recipe for a successful perfect hit, everybody would be doing it. For me the perfect hit with soul as well right now is "Telepatia", this here smell a lot of money!
