I'd argue this one is in a league of its own But what are some other just really badly executed holiday albums?

This list wouldn't be complete without (2)3LW's Christmas album. They said it best... ahh hell nah.

With the exception of "Snowman," Sia's was Aguilera-levels unlistenable to me.

With the exception of "Snowman," Sia's was Aguilera-levels unlistenable to me. Sia's diction is always atrocious, like demo vocal fill nonsense syllables bad. But they took it to another level on her Christmas album.

With the exception of "Snowman," Sia's was Aguilera-levels unlistenable to me. "Puppies Are Forever" is amazing though.

I was actually listening to 8 Days of Christmas album the other day, and I didn't think it was all that bad. They just liked to put a hip hop twist to the songs. Kinda feels like a Christmas version of the "Survivor" album, but I understand it may not be to anyone's liking..

The problem with 8 Days of Christmas is that it is so 2001 in it's production and just overall vibe that you can't listen to it today as anything other than a relic of a bygone time. All holiday albums are at their core cash grabs, but 8 Days of Christmas feels like they just cranked that up to 11.

Xtina’s album for sure.
Her ‘O Holy Night’ rendition is an unlawful (Xmas) act that should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
The amount of runs she unnecessarily uses in that song is mind-boggling. And the instrumentation is bizarre.

The first that instantly came to mmind was DC's. Truly god-awful. Faith Evans' is also pretty bad. Brandy released her first this year and it stinks. Christina's is an abomination due to the oversinging. The original songs were absolute duds, too.

I don't really listen to many Holiday albums but I remember doing so for some country rankdown series. I recall one of them being horrific and it was by an artist I typically love.... bboat11 help me out here, I wanna say it was Lee Ann Womack or Jo Dee Messina? Deana Carter's is odd, but I kinda enjoyed it for trying something different.

I love Deana Carter’s Christmas album, and Jo Dee Messina’s is an all-time great. Not a fan of Lee Ann Womack’s.
As for the question at hand- I hate Clay Aiken’s. Not really sure why. I agree that, outside of one or two tracks, Xtina’s is an abomination. Train’s is unlistenable to me, but that is the case for their non-holiday music as well.

Oh, I love DC's, Christina's, and 3LW's albums (although the latter deserves to be here. That's definitely a so-bad-it's-good moment for me).
This one has to be the worst I've ever heard, and it's not even entertainingly bad, it's just... something that exists.

Carrie's, Hallelujah aside, is abysmal. Don't get me started on that Stretchy Pants song.
Mariah's second, Oh Santa aside, is pretty bad.

Deana Carter's is odd, but I kinda enjoyed it for trying something different. It was probably Lee Ann, lol. Her Christmas album is soooooo mellow and subdued, but not like in a relaxing seasonal way. Outside of "The Man With The Bag", which has great energy, the entire rest of the album probably has a collective speed of 30 Beats Per Minute, lmao. And most of them are forgettable originals or the most boring options of the classics.
Jo Dee's Christmas album is pretty bad as well, but that's mostly because it sounds like they couldn't find a producer so they just told the custodian to go in and mix it after he finished mopping up the studio. I don't think I've ever heard a more dated album from a modern artist in my life!!!! Which is so confusing when you consider how well her music from the '90s has aged otherwise. For some reason the Christmas album sounds like she borrowed Garth Brooks' palm pilot and went and sat in a cardboard box while she sang.
Pam Tillis' was pretty bad too, tbh.

Don't get me started on that Stretchy Pants song. This, Sia's "Santa's Coming For Us," and Katy Perry's H&M jingle are the most atrocious new Christmas originals of the century. Trifecta of trash.

Jessica Simpson’s 2nd Holiday album Happy Christmas! Just forgettable album.
Willa Ford’s Christmas single from the MTV TRL Christmas album “Santa Baby[Gimme Gimme Gimmie]” is just awful in terms of modern Christmas music.

I knew this would be all over this thread. Yes there’s lots of hollering and too many runs on some tracks, but I love a lot of the songs on there. Lol My favorites are: “Christmas Time” “This Year” (I think those songs were new) “These are The Special Times” and “This Christmas”. I thought she did a good job on to. I can see your point on the classics though. Lol On a sidenote I don’t find DC3’s Christmas album as offensive as many do here either. Lol. I mean I guess they didn’t need to put their stamp on just about every track, but I liked a few songs on there. “8 Days Of Christmas, Spread A Little Love On Christmas and A DC Christmas medley” gets some love from me…

Don't get me started on that Stretchy Pants song. Sia's "Santa's Coming For Us," Somehow a song that is saccharine fluff and ominous at the same time
