I kinda feel like Midnights was the more matured sister to 1989 and I could see this new album being the more matured, maybe slightly stripped back sister to Reputation. I think the re-records reflect a bit in her new releases: 1989 (TV) paired well with the Midnights era and I believe Reputation (TV) will pair well with The Tortured Poets Department. I could even see her returning to country for her 12th album to pair with Taylor Swift (TV).

There’s a partial leak going around on one of the songs that sounds legit. If it’s real, this is less synth pop from the short sample I’ve heard and more guitar pop. Really fresh sound and more lively than Midnights.
The clip sounded like somebody recorded it while she was in the studio laying the song down, so the final production could be way different too.

She said in Tokyo night 1 that she started working on this album immediately after turning Midnights in and finished it during the first US Eras run, and that she loves making albums so much.

I'm willing to bet loml (love of my life) is about Travis. joke? fans have speculated it's a red herring and it doesn't mean what people expect it to.

Nah. It might not be about Travis, but I have never seen loml mean anything else.

I absolutely LOVE the supposed leak of "Loml". It's alternative soft rockish to me. Sounds so good.

I'm willing to bet loml (love of my life) is about Travis. It's obviously about one of her cats.

i wonder if the leak going around from a recording studio is legit. if it's actually taylor im very much in love with the sound and it doesn't seem like she's doing the talk singing in it so that's a win

I think it is and she's going alternative/soft rock this era! Now her unkempt looking hair at the Grammys coupled with her outfit makes perfect sense. Definitely a style that reflects the sound. Maybe this will be her Fiona Apple era. lol

So all 6 acoustic songs filmed should be included in the Disney+ release: I Can See You & Maroon (8/3), Our Song & You Are in Love (8/4), and Death by a Thousand Cuts & You're on Your Own, Kid (8/5).

I refuse to partake in any leaks but if Taylor is actually going soft rock this era I will ascend.

What I heard sounded like soft Liz Phair, which is not my vibe at all, but I'm sure I will enjoy the album as a whole. Even songs of hers I hated like Karma grew on me, LOL.

I thought the concert already went to streaming? Or available to rent? Idk lol Just available to rent for 48 hours through digital retailers like VUDU, Apple TV, Prime Video, etc. so far. You can’t even “buy” it to watch forever on those services yet. I personally am still holding out hope for a physical 4K UHD Blu-ray disc at some point this year. In the IG post, she does mention D+ is the “streaming home” for the tour movie so fingers crossed she plans on something physical for fans’ collections. She’d top the Home Video disc sales charts for weeks/months on end if she did.

Honestly it's so wild thinking back to her beginnings. Someone emphasized she started off as a country artist the other day and she has been pop so long I'd honestly forgotten how dominant she was in country and how massive her first two eras were. It seems like a lifetime ago. I think that's why maybe you and others are emotional when listening back to "Mean" and other older songs: it's nostalgic and she has come SO far! We've essentially grown up with her and seen her flourish.

Swifties: “taylor’s first two shows in Tokyo happened and tomorrow is Friday, five days after she announced her new studio album. There are 10 months and 21 days left in 2024, and two TV’s yet to come, which means she will drop Reputation TV on the friday of 13 weeks after February 13, which is May 17. 5+1+7=13!”

As fun are theories are, I would imagine Rep TV won't come until the fall? I not a Swiftie expert, just a fan from afar. 🙂
