Track #10 from Deeper Well. This is the focus song from the album during its release.

Gorgeous song and an album standout for sure! This was definitely the right choice for the second single.

This and "Cardinal" for me were the standouts outside of the two tracks released already (the title track and "Too Good To Be True"), glad to see it pull a good amount of streams first day!

Great to hear that Kacey is officially back to country radio with her solo song. This is also a correct choice, easily the best song from the album and most suitable song to the format.

What a stunning song. If all was right with the world, then this would be a massive smash, too bad we know how Country radio operates with Kacey…

Definitely one of the top 4-5 cuts on Deeper Well, and I'm glad they haven't completely given up on trying her at country radio. With the success of her Zach Bryan duet, I imagine this will have at least some decent initial hype and maybe it can at least reach the top 40? Would love that.

Overlooked this with my first couple listens but now it’s one of my favorites. What a beautiful song

thought this reminded me of some of her older stuff, then realized she wrote this with her pre-golden hour writers! I wish giver/taker was getting a push, but this is also great.

Happy to see a solo Kacey Musgraves song go to country radio in the year of 2024. I have precisely zero faith they’ll take it, even though it’s a smash for the format, simply because it’s Kacey, but I would love for once to have to eat crow. Here’s hoping they don’t stall her out at #39 in like the third week or something; this song deserves better than that.

Not to be pessimistic but as long as this song charts I will be happy as I don't have the highest expectations given the crowded release schedule right now and Kacey Musgraves herself not being a radio darling.

15 total stations is just so underwhelming at best. Obviously Kacey Musgraves doesn't have the most momentum with radio, but she's a big enough name she should have done better.

Country radio can kiss her ass for all I care. They’ve helped her out zeroly over the past decade. How much satisfaction that her latest album went higher on the 200 chart than almost all the artist that they are sending #1.

How much satisfaction that her latest album went higher on the 200 chart than almost all the artist that they are sending #1. Agreed. It's weird, I don't expect country radio to treat her like Lainey Wilson, but she really should have been at a similar level to Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris, in the late 2010s in radios eyes. Country radio will continue to do their own thing and good for them, but it is amazing how much they actively ignore her music, when I think it could be a net positive for them.

I'm actually surprised they are trying to promote her to country radio again, especially after the tepid performance of Rainbow when it should've been a hit. At the same time, even tough she doesn't "need" them, it would still be nice seeing Kacey charting well on country radio again after over 10 years since her last (and only) country radio hit... not holding my breath though

I have my own opinions as to why they actively refuse to play her music (that’s what it is—a petty refusal), but I’m not in the mood to kickstart that firestorm. I don’t care about country radio and what they think about her, I’m just going to enjoy the music and watch with glee as the acclaim continues to pour in.

I'm curious to see how many adds she gets next week or in the future in general because it seems like dropping this at country radio seemed like an afterthought/last minute decision. She doesn't have a ton of radio clout or anything so I wouldn't be surprised if this only getting 15 adds to start out means that it won't do much, but I'm not entirely convinced that this won't get a steady stream of adds throughout the next few weeks and be a slow build, either. I suppose we'll see, but I feel like there's enough buzz around here that I imagine this song should at least land in the 50s similar to what we saw with "Butterflies" from GH.

I don't get it why they still bother to send her single to radio.
It is weird that Merry Go'round made all the way to top 10 which is not radio friendly IMO.
and follow-up Blowin' Smoke made it to top 25.
Follow Your Arrow could have been a huge hit if there was more open-mindedness.
Among the country female artists who made it,Kacey Musgraves might be the one with the worst radio single performances but the shame is definitely not on her,it's on country radio.

Surprised (and very glad) to see this at #3 on the Taking Off Chart
She has an 188 bullet and needs around 750 spins to debut on the main chart, so fingers crossed it keeps going
