I think there were too many performances last year. This year, I'm liking the line-up right now.

I think Carrie will be performing alone. There has to be at least one country act performing that isnt part of some group performance.
Where is James Blunt? He should be performing, but hes not even presenting?

Only one rap act? Couldn't they get OutKast, Akon, T.I., anyone? Are Outkast or Akon even nominated? Anyway, rap wasn't as big this year as in previous years, and none of the nominees in the major categories are rap acts or songs. Why should there be more than 1 rap performance? There hasn't been one jazz, bluegrass, polka, classical, etc. artist announced as a performer.

Yeah, if the similar We Belong Together couldn't pull it off last year then I doubt BWY can either. I actually think Gnarls Barkley will pull off the ROTY win if only because it inspired several covers by other artists last year. It truly is a masterpiece. The Grammys will most likely make a bold statement by honoring the Dixie Chicks and Underwood seems to be the solid choice for a BNA win. One only wonders if Kelly Clarkson would have scored here in 2003 had she not been ineligible at the time.

I like the way they announced her at Grammy.com :) For the first time in GRAMMY history, international sensation and current nominee Shakira will perform, and fellow nominee Wyclef Jean will join her, it was announced today by The Recording Academy.

Where is James Blunt? He should be performing, but hes not even presenting? I wonder if that means he won't be winning anything despite major category noms (like Gwen last year, although yes I know she was pregnant). Seems odd. I know Corinne Bailey Rae seems to have built a lot of buzz recently for BNA, but I believe Grammy ballots were due before the airing of her Oprah performance, so I dunno. Carrie had her Oprah in December (along with massive Christmas sales) after the noms were announced and before the ballots were due.

The one artist I wish was performing is Lupe Fiasco. He'd be a great addition and I'm hoping he can pick up Best Rap Song & Best Rap Album. Will Justin & TI collaborate or will Justin do WGACBA and TI do WYK?
