When do they announce the performers? I would like to see Justin: What Goes Around Pink: U + Ur Hand Evanescence: Lithium I would like to see these people perform. That would make my day! Ev didn't get any noms, so they'll most likely present.

lol, Amy announced the nominees and they got snubbed. How mean. I personally think it's awesome, more grammy noms would just get her ego bigger. Lord knows we don't need that!

Yeah exactly cuz ya know its true. Too bad with all this "critical" praise, she can't get the public to listen to him.

^^^^^^ wow, you are a total postwhore today. I know, it's sad. Eh, oh well. The Fray are too good for Emogiean, she should stick to club shows with 20 people in the audience.

Can you type? Or are you retarted and don't know how to do anyhting, but .... if you don't like what I say, tell me... don't be a little b**ch and post nothing but... Wow personal attack like mad wo. No I think you're the one being retarded. You go on and on and on about how Imogen sucks and can't sing and is boring. Excuse me when's the last time Kelly Clarkson got a 5-star rating on any of her albums? When's the last time Kelly got praise from possibly every critic on the planet? I can answer those, never. Oh and in conclusion, . I agree with you, but come on, you can do better than dragging Kelly Clarkson into it (who isn't even involved with this year's Grammies) to win that argument... she couldn't possibly get as much praise as Imogen because "5 stars," etc. are reserved for pretentious/'indie' acts. Plus, Kelly does has a lot of critical acclaim.

I think Mary J will sweep the R&B categories, but don't think she'll win any of the major categories (Best Record, Best Song). Since she's up for both, she'll probably end up winning neither one. Same thing happened to Mariah last year. But she'll sweep the R&B categories, unless Mariah manages to sneak a win in with DFAU, but I highly doub that. I'm surprised that Ring The Alarm was nominated... I thought Irreplaceable, Deja Vu or Listen would have been nomianted over that.

OH MY GOD! GOLDFRAPP GOT 2! *DIES*
AND MADGE! AND ZERO 7! AND GNARLS! AND THE MONKEYS! AND THE YYYS! AND THOM!
so so happy
Man, the Electronic & Dance categories are EXCELLENT this year. I normally would want Madge to win, but Goldfrapp's entry is obviously the better song (if it were Hung Up, I would be unable to choose). JT might steal it from both, though. And go Pet Shop Boys, haha! Keep hittin' it! And oh my God, Depeche Mode is nominated, too! I told you people that GORE & GAHAN ARE A FAILSAFE TEAM.
I could care less about the major categories, but the dance/electronic/alternative categories have made my day.

I'm so angry... Call Me When You're Sober is one of the best hard rock songs to come out this year... why Ev didn't get ANY nominations after being named Best New Artist a couple years ago is beyond me.

I just watched a butt load of Emogean Heeps vids on UTube... she sucks.. the acadamy totally lost cred with her. Oh she's floating with a piano and singing out of tune, big deal. The acadamy needs to wake up- and stop nominating talentless nobody's like Eamogean Heeaps. First of all its Imogen Heap. Second of all, out of tune? ...No. It's called dissonance, and she uses it EXTREMELY cunningly. Hide And Seek is one of the best, most tonally expressive songs I've ever heard and it is my favorite song of all time. Download it.

I could care less about the major categories, but the dance/electronic/alternative categories have made my day. yeah!..all the five albums on "Best Alternative Music Album" are amazing...is impossible to pick one..but i think i like the monkeys albums jussst a little more... I know! I'm not a huge Lips' fan, so I won't be routing for them (although if it were lesser competition, I wouldn't mind if they won). Gnarls, Thom, YYYs, and the Monkeys all made some of my favorite albums of the year. It's going to be between Thom and YYYs for me. I think YYYs. It probably is the most creative album, but I have to throw a little extra boost in for them, too, because I met Karen O back in May. :') So much for objectivity. ;)

Imogen Heap is a nice surprise on the list. I'm not a huge fan, but she's clearly the most deserving of the nominees in her category. If KT was up for it, I'd root for her.

I'd have to take Rae slightly over Heap for BNA, personally, but if Tunstall was in there I'd root for her easily over either of them.

Yeah, Hide And Seek was one of the biggest hits of the year for me. And Imogen's album was, I think, #2 of the year for 2005 as well. She makes good electronic pop music but still is valid enough to be considered authentically talented in all areas. AND she produces her own stuff so no comparisons to her "peers" are needed.
