29 was "You Were There" by Avalon.
30 was not "Turn Me On". That song never made my chart in 2004.

OK, one last easier clue for #30:
The name of the artist sounds a lot like a party game where you put your left hand on the red dot, right foot on the blue dot, and, if your not careful, you could strain a muscle. You're out of the game if you lose your balance and fall over.

*Scattered applause*
25) CS: What someone released from prison after a twenty-year term might proclaim.
24) Rumor has it that this vocal trio was listening to a lot of Pop radio in 1977.
23) This song was on the AT10 chart for most of 2003 and, after bouncing around between five and eight, the song made a surprise surge to #2. It was a remake of a song originally done by two R&B stars.
22) This song is making a big splash on the Christian AC chart. There's a reason that the "CS" isn't listed at the beginning.
21) A flop by an American Idol winner from early 2004. The artist recovered nicely later on in the year, though.
GOOD LUCK!!

Well, all songs were guessed right, and Jeffster's guess of "It's Good To Be Free" was the song I was thinking of :)
20) This Top Twenty Pop smash from the early half of 2004 reminds me of me of "No Place So Far" by Erin O'Donnell.
19) This song, released around the end of 2003, raised a few eyebrows, due to its lyrics, which made it sound like the artist was an obsessive stalker.
18) Though it never hit the Top Five, this song managed to make it onto the "20: Countdown" special, due to its staying power, though it remained in the lower reaches of the chart during its last few months on.
17) This tenor made three appearances on my chart, and they were all in different consecutive years.
16) The beginning of this Top Five Pop song from the summer, reminded me a little of the song "Music Box" by Mariah Carey.

18) Whatever It Takes - Nate Sallie ?
That one did hit the top 5 on the R&R chart, but I don't know if it did on "20."

Those guesses were all correct. I believe "Whatever It Takes" peaked at number eight on the 20: Countdown chart.
Now, I wonder when in the world someone's going to guess number twenty?

Very good! I figured that the one clue for the song would be a little too vague (since only a few people have heard "No Place So Far" by Erin O'Donnell). Of course, try listening to both songs back to back and you'll see a little similarity. The big difference is, "No Place So Far" is a slower song, but the melodies of both sound somewhat alike.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot, the next set of clues:
15) I only heard this song on radio once, but instantly fell in love with it. It seemed like a sure fire number one, but when I bought the single, it wasn't quite as good as I remembered and besides, another song beat it to the top. It debuted at #1 on Billboard.
14) When Superman encounters Kryptonite, he is what?
13) CS(?): I never understood why this never made the Christian AC chart this year, since it's pretty much representative of the songs on that chart. At least WFRN charted it and the song made an appearance on the AC chart.
12) CS: This group, with a number in its name, has been charting for quite awhile at Christian radio.
11) The success of this song, one of the ten biggest songs at CHR radio in 2004, was sort of a surprise IMO, since it sounded like a rock song from around 1979 or so.
GOOD LUCK!!

Fantasia - I Believe ? I would have guessed Unwell, but that's not on the countdown this year (at least that is what you said). 4Him - Fill The Earth Maroon 5 - This Love ?

Well, you only got 15 and 11 right. For #12, you got the right group, wrong song.
For #14, you were sort of on the right track, as this was a holdover from 2003. But this song was nowhere near as big as "Unwell" (which indeed isn't on the countdown this year).

That is right. And now, we enter the Top Ten. From here on out, I'll give one clue at a time:
10) I hear that the singer of this song hates Nelly, because he affected her chart performance near the end of 2004.

I remember her getting pushed back to #2 and staying there for several weeks thanks to Nelly on the Pop chart.

That's exactly what I was thinking of. If not for Nelly, she would have spent at least a month at #1.
9) When this artist first started hitting the charts, she went to #1. This song, however, just barely missed the Top Ten.

Yes indeed!
8) CS: This was one of the biggest Christian AC songs of the year. It was #1 during the first half of fall and is about how, no matter how dubious you are about life, you have to believe that the Lord will guide your every way.

I'm drawing a blank on the AC chart for some reason, but I'll take a guess...
8) Newsong f/ Natalie Grant - When God Made You ?
Oh, and no one guessed #13, did they?

Oops. I guess I overlooked that. No matter; the song you guessed was actually #13.
For #8 - I said the Christian AC chart, not the mainstream one. This song didn't even hit the mainstream AC chart. The chart I said that it was #1 on was the 20: Countdown chart.

Oops. I guess I overlooked that. No matter; the song you guessed was actually #13. It was? That song made the Christian AC chart (it is currently on it...). That's why I didn't guess When God Made You for #13 earlier... I'll guess: 8) Jeremy Camp - Walk By Faith

"When God Made You" is charting? I assumed, since it was already on the AC chart and is currently on its way down the WFRN Weekly Top 20, that it didn't quite make it to the Christian AC chart. Oh, and "Walk By Faith" was the correct answer, so...
7) This song was written by the artist, but first released by someone else back in the 1990s. The songwriter decided to do his own version of it. Unfortunately, it didn't fare quite as well (spent only a week or so on 20: The Countdown Magazine), but it sure went to #1 on my chart.
