Shania Twain? She released ten from "Come Over," but are you just talking about the Hot AC formats?

Shania Twain? She released ten from "Come Over," but are you just talking about the Hot AC formats? No, I'm just trying to put together a list of the most "single friendly" CD's over the last ten years or so. Any format. Ten singles for Shania? Wow! Is that unprecedented? I have the CD. Can anyone else come up with CD's with numerous singles? Thanks!

Of the last 10 years?
Janet - Janet (had 6, perhaps? Alanis - Jagged Little Pill (5 top 10s on CHR) Amanda Marshall's debut album had 7 in Canada. Shania Twain's 'The Woman In Me' had 7 or 8. A lot of country CDs have lots of releases. 'Come On Over' had 11 released in total. Eminem's CD had 6 hits from it (if you want to count 'Business' and 'Hailie's Song').

There was a topic in one of the Music News forums just last week that listed them all in detail. Perhaps the Nastalgia forum?

Michael Jackson had seven singles from Thriller, Bad and Dangerous. Well those are just the US singles... And you forgot about "Gone Too Soon" being released from "Dangerous"... It missed the Hot 100 though... Except for "Thriller", Michael Jackson have always released more singles internationally than in the US... Off The Wall (5 int./ 4 US) Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough Off The Wall Rock With You She's Out Of My Life Girlfriend Thriller (6 int. / 7 US) - All the US singles except "Human Nature"... :( Bad (9 int. / 7 US) I Just Can't Stop Loving You Bad The Way You Make Me Feel Man In The Mirror Dirty Diana Another Part Of Me Smooth Criminal Leave Me Alone Liberian Girl Dangerous (9 int. / 8 US) Black Or White Remember The Time/Come Together In The Closet Who Is It Jam Heal The World/She Drives Me Wild Give In To Me Will You Be There Gone Too Soon HIStory (6 int. / 4 commercial singles US) Scream/Childhood You Are Not Alone Earth Song/This Time Around They Don't Care About Us Stranger In Moscow HIStory/Ghosts - In the US, "Scream", "YANA", "Earth Song" and "They Don't Care About Us" were CHR/Pop singles "Childhood" was released to AC, and "This Time Around" was released to Urban...

Other albums with at least five songs that have made an R and R chart: Backstreet Boys: "Backstreet Boys" Red Hot Chili Peppers: "Californication" Matchbox Twenty: "Mad Season" Dixie Chicks: "Fly" Kenny Chesney: "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems" Linkin Park: "[Hybrid Theory]" had at least four and maybe five. Christina Aguilera: "Stripped" Good Charlotte has five singles but "Hold On" hasn't charted yet. I think Creed had a fifth and maybe a sixth single from "Human Clay" Ricky Martin: "Ricky Martin" Metallica has released more than four singles from an album, all their singles were posted on R and R which no longer exists. There are other albums like Shaggy: "Hotshot" which we talked about this week that had at least five singles if you count the soundtrack single(s) before. With four or five singles, S Club 7: "S Club" is the album I can name with the most singles released without me seeing any of them chart (while I followed charts). Edit: Posters mentioned at least five Sugababes singles so they may have five singles from an album but not in the United States.

Toni Braxton Toni Braxton Love Shoulda Brought You Home Another Sad Love Song Breathe Again Seven Whole Days You Mean the World To Me How Many Ways I Belong To You
That's 7.... I also remember "Candlelight" being sent to Smooth Jazz, so if that counts then you have 8.
Toni Braxton - Secrets Let It Flow You're Makin' Me High Un-Break My Heart I Don't Want To I Love Me Some Him How Could An Angel Break My Heart
The strongest song on the album "Why Should I Care?" was never released.

Yeah, "The Knowledge" wasn't exactly released. There was a video, but it was only part of the "Rhythm Nation 1814" short film. So the album had 8 singles. 7 of the 9 tracks on "Control" were singles: What Have You Done For Me Lately Nasty When I Think Of You Control Let's Wait Awhile The Pleasure Principle Funny How Time Flies (When You're Having Fun) [non-US] 8 singles from "janet.": That's The Way Love Goes If Again Any Time, Any Place Because Of Love You Want This Whoops Now [non-US] What'll I Do [non-US] 6 singles from "The Velvet Rope": Got 'Til It's Gone Together Again I Get Lonely Go Deep You Every Time Not sure which ones from TVR weren't released to US radio. I don't think "You" was, but was "Every Time"?

Linkin Park: "[Hybrid Theory]" had at least four and maybe five. One Step Closer Crawling In the End Papercut (not officially released)Runaway (not officially released)My December (on Japanese import version, not officially released)I think Creed had a fifth and maybe a sixth single from "Human Clay" There were only four from Human Clay ("Higher", "What If", "With Arms Wide Open", and "Are You Ready?"), but five were released from Weathered: My Sacrifice (Pop/Hot AC/Alternative/Rock) Bullets (Alternative/Rock) One Last Breath (Pop/Hot AC/Alternative/Rock) Don't Stop Dancing (Pop) Weathered (Alternative/Rock) There are other albums like Shaggy: "Hotshot" which we talked about this week that had at least five singles if you count the soundtrack single(s) before. That one had seven if you count the soundtrack singles before, five if you don't.

Between "Are You Ready?" and "My Sacrifice" Creed had at least one more song chart. It was "Riders On The Storm", which didn't isn't from a Creed album, but from the Doors' tribute album. These had at least five singles: Pearl Jam - Vitalogy: "Spin The Black Circle", "Tremor Christ", "Better Man", "Corduroy", "Not For You", "Nothingman", "Immorality": 7 R.E.M. - Monster: "What's The Frequency, Kenneth?", "Bang And Blame", "Star 69", "Strange Currencies", "Crush With Eyeliner", "Tongue": 7 U2 - Acthung Baby: "The Fly", "Mysterious Ways", "Until The End Of The World", "One", "Even Better Than The Real Thing", "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses?": 6 Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness: "Bullet With Butterfly Wings", "1979", "Zero", "Tonight, Tonight", "Muzzle", "Thirty-Three": 6 i'll add more later

Linkin Park: "[Hybrid Theory]" had at least four and maybe five. They only realese 3 songs as a single, although I think 6 songs made the alt. chart: - one step closer (single) - crawling (single) - in the end (single) - papercut - runaway - points of authority

I'm pretty sure "You" wasn't released to radio. But I did hear "Tonight's The Night" on one of my radio stations, and it was also on the countdown... :o

You also didn't include "My December".

I'm pretty sure "You" wasn't released to radio. That is correct. I believe the video was released to promote the tour DVD.

Gone too soon was released in the US. It peaked at #50 on the Hot 100. ??? I thought it missed the Hot 100 completely, and only charted on the Bubbling Under chart for R&B Singles.
