What would be some potential graduation songs (2006) that have already been released (or about to)?
Natasha Bedingfield - "Unwritten" Fefe Dobson - "This Is My Life"
Maybe: La Toya Jackson - "No More Drama" ("I never thought I'd make it here, but I did.")

Carrie Underwood's Don't Forget To Remember Me fits in perfectly.

It seems like graduation songs have lost favor over the last 3-4 years. Yeah sure, certain schools will pick certain songs, but as far as one song that stands out nationally, it's tough. I actually thought the best recent candidate was Our Lives by The Calling, but that went nowhere outside of HAC.
If we don't go for currents in the sping/summer, then the closest one would be Photograph by Nickelback. That song is also a great one for graduations.

I think the prom song of the year is already set... James Blunt's "You're Beautiful".

Ours this year is a mixture of Vitamin C's and of S Club's "Say Goodbye", needless to say I made the edit.

either "Photograph" or "Unwritten" Agreed, but I'm would lean more towards "Photograph" than "Unwritten" due to the obvious reminiscing of "Photograph".

for all the rural schools, I'd go with Nickelback. For all the suburban, it's usually a latest one. For the upper class, always seems to be Green Day- Time Of Your Life.

Whitney Houston - "Try It On My Own" (I remember they tried to push this as a graduation song during 2003? They even had it on "Boston Public"!)

Yeah, songs about death really don't go over well at graduations.
