Beyonce is known as the career killer. Who's next on her list?
Post your thoughts.

She will probably not kill Christina's career but she will definitely do damage as they will clash at the same time and Christina will no doubt, lose

Exactly. Christina isn't over or anything like that but she'll just be on Beyonce's shadow or someone else's shadow. Like always

LOL. I don't believe Beyonce "kills" careers. She just prevents anyone from being #1 in anyhting, like Christina right now. Deja Vu will now overshadow ANOM. I think even when Janet's single gets released next week, Deja Vu will still have more hype.

I think B janet and X Tina will all coexist chart wise with them taking turns at #1/Top 10. At jj.com B is known as the career killer. I think Mariah may have opened the flood gates...for female artists.

Beyonce butchered Ashanti, Mya and Monica in summer of 2003.
I think she is about to knock Aguilera out the box because they both have brassy soul influenced singles. I hope Janet has something totally different that wont get compared to "deja vu"

Well she won't kill Christina for sure but this battle that is brewing is going to be interesting.
Ashanti has been eliminated. Mya & Monica got their asses beaten badly. Brandy is unfortunately a thing of the past partly thanks to Bee. Milian, who didn't have much a career to begin with, was butchered with all the comparisons which ultimately led to her demise. I'm really hoping Jive or LaFace or w/e pushes Ciara's sophmore album all the way till early next year. It's a good idea that they release that soundtrack single for now but the album MUST be pushed. Beyonce will swallow her career whole. She really is quite the career killer lol.

I don't think Beyonce was the reason Ashanti floped. She's been known for being a summer type of artist and the whole fall stuff didn't work for her and Murda also waited too long for the 2nd single.

Given this summer female releases, Janet and Christina are on the list for a trampling from Bey Freight Train.

Janet and Christina. I do wonder if this is the year that Beyonce-overkill kicks in though. She hasn't been out of the spotlight in years. With Dreamgirls coming out in addition to her album, audiences may just get Beyonce-fatigue. That's what happened with Jennifer Lopez IMO.

In comparison to B, Ashanti did get killed - BUT I must say she must have some staying power to still push near a million albums, basically based off the power of one single.

The thing is, this won't even be a comeback for Beyonce since she never left. She's still been at the major award shows, still being played on the video channels, all over radio etc etc. so people soon may be get tired of her, but she'll still do big

I'm surprised she hasn't already killed Rhianna's career.

I agree. Now I see why Destiny's Child has disbanded. Beyonce is so much better on her own.

Basically B will kill the career of any aspiring RnB artist out there. So, no, Xtina won't be affected. As I've said in other threads here, these 2 can co-exist the same way that Kelly and Mariah co-existed in 2005. Xtina will dominate Pop, B will dominate Rhythmic. Even their albums almost have a month gap between them. So all these "Xtina is a goner" comments are just silly.

But I really hope B kills Xtina's career. I'm already tired of hearing about her.
