Just for fun before the voting begins amongst the panel members, who do you guys think will get the main nominations for the six major awards?
Best Male Artist
Best Female Artist
Best Group
Best Song
Best Album
Best New Artist
I'm curious to see how close the guesses are. Since these are based on panel members from this board, people that volunteered, they will be, for the most part, representative of the board. How well do you know Pulse? The nominations will be announced the first weekend of December.

Pink, Natasha Bedingfield and The Fray top predictions for the upcoming Pulse Music Award Nominations
November 24th, 2006 The Max Studios & Press -- Predictions have been made by some inside sources to the upcoming Pulse Music Awards as to who will receive nominations for the top 6 awards for best male, female, group, song, album and top new artist of the year. These sources sat around a table earlier this evening to meet and come up with predictions based on information received so far for the first stage of the nominations process. They came up with the following results: It was predicted that the Best Male Artist nominations will include Justin Timberlake, John Mayer and possibly either Chris Brown, Daniel Powter or Ne-Yo. Justin is a sure bet with the popularity of his two singles here on Pulse. Best Female Artist will definately include board favourites Christina Aguilera, Pink and BeyoncΓ©, along with possible inclusions for Carrie Underwood, JoJo and dark horse KT Tunstall. The group category will surely include Evanescence and the Pussycat Dolls with also some good predictors for the Dixie Chicks, Danity Kane and Nickelback. The Best New Artist category will almost definately include The Fray and Carrie Underwood (isn't she too old for that?) with some possible lovin' for KT, Gnarls and Ms. Bedingfield. Best Album will be chosen amongst the women, Pink, Beyonce and Christina with Carrie possibly in the running and maybe a trio of Dixie Chicks? And the coveted Best Song nominations? Christina MAY get represented there but it seems that neither of her songs got all-around praise so votes may be split amongst her two. JoJo's 'Too Little, Too Late', Natasha's 'Unwritten' and a song from Pink or The Fray could finalize the list. Natasha Bedingfield is almost a sure best for Best Song and Female Artist while Pink is for Best Album and Female Artist. Carrie Underwood looks to be a favourite for New Artist, Album and Female Artist while JoJo for Song and Female Artist. The only non-female artist that looks to be a sure best is Justin Timberlake for Best Male but he's not even a shoo-in for Best Song or Album. The Fray, however, look to ease into a Best Group nom as well as Best New Artist and maybe at least one for Best Song.
The overall prediction for most nominations? Dr. Stanley Forsythe says that the fingers are pointing at Pink, Carrie Underwood and The Fray to be the big nominated artists with BeyoncΓ©, JoJo and Justin Timberlake not far behind. He also says don't count out the underdogs, KT Tunstall, Dixie Chicks, Daniel Powter, Shakira. It's going to be a big event! Of course these are just predictions based on the board's general opinions toward these artists so one can never tell for sure until the final nominations come out.

OMG!! LOL Now, who's "stealing" ideas? >:( ;) lol I'm suprised that Too Little, Too Late might get Song Of The Year. It's very catchy and I like it, but it doesnt strike me as "SOTY". Or will there be noms for "ROTY" too? I havent kept up with these awards lately (for obvious reasons ), but Im going to turn in the noms tomorrow. Thats the deadline, right?

LOL! I wasn't stealing your idea but I did realize just after I posted it that it was kinda like what you were gonna do...! I often do news report-like stuff for this. I'm sorry.
There's only a Song of the Year. This ain't the Grammys. ;) It's not the same award as the Song of the Year at the Grammys. It's like a "Single of the Year" award. Just simply, the best all-around song.
The deadline is tonight. But since I work tomorrow morning real early, it'll be "stretched" until I get home from work and eventually get here to start tabulating. So you have about 28 hours or so.

No Artist of the Year category?
Nope. It's redundant to have that AND a female, male and group of the year. I figured if I had that, I'd have to remove those three. I think it's more important to see who rules among those three categories and then the artists can collectively battle over Song and Album of the year.
