I woulda started a poll too but then I figured people would vote no because they don't care. It's my opinion that if you aren't interested in Canadian Music, the discussion isn't for you. It's basically for people who discuss Canadian Music and where they would rather discuss it. How would having a Canadian Music Forum effect the people who don't discuss it? Having a Latin forum doesn't effect me in the least. I didn't vote "no" against it.

I think that Canadian music should go under the Global Music forum, (and btw, I'm a great fan of international music and was very much in favor of the Global Music forum from the start).
I realize there are many Canadian board members here, but then again who's to say how many members of a particular nationality are required to start a new forum? I mean, if 4 more Australians join tomorrow, should we start a separate forum for them too? There are already quite a few people from the UK, but we don't have a separate forum for these guys. I agree that the Canadians here would want to discuss some things amongs themselves---that's perfectly acceptable, but I feel it should go under the Global Music forum.

I'm ugly I have acne I need a dermatologist :(
I'm assuming that's about me! LOL! I don't have acne and never did so I don't see how you got that from my pictures. Some people do have acne and your signature is kinda ignorant towards them.

Well, you aren't a moderator so I'm sure Rob can wait until he gets word from one of the 4 moderators before he does it. :) I'm sure if they needed extra help, they'd ask. :)

Sure ya can: On behalf of Pulse, we thank you for this great song. Thanks Nelly! Ah... Yeah, I had originally resized it proportionally, but then I just adjusted the height. It's the same width as before, which would explain the "fatness".

Then why do you keep griping if you know nobody cares and (by the looks of the poll) don't want one. Well if this discussion isn't for me then I propose a TLC forum! :) And if you dont care, too bad, it's only for the people interested in TLC.

And if you dont care, too bad, it's only for the people interested in TLC. Huh? Why are you trying to make it out like it's a bad thing for me? If the interest is there and you think it would work, fine by me! I'm in no place to tell them or you not to make a forum. If I'm not interested, I simply won't post in it. I don't see you or any of the other people that voted "no" on this getting pissed that we have a Latin or a Smooth Jazz forum here and I'd be willing to bet most of the people that voted "no" for this don't visit those forums either.

I voted "yes". I'm all for the creation of forums that I would never visit. That means less topics that I don't care about in the forums that I actually do enter.

Of course I won't let it go unfinished. You asked questions and you wanted answers so I may as well answer and give you what you're looking for.
Firstly: the meaning of the word "ignorant". The word is often misused and mistaken to mean something to which it doesn't. The word actually means something like "misunderstanding" or "unknowledgable" or whatever (which you gave the definition for). So you're right in saying that. A lot of people (I know) use the word to be almost synonymous with "rude". That's how I was using the word. If that confused you during this entire time, I appologize.
Next: your quotes of me talking to Josh. True. I was rude and (for lack of a less childish word) mean to him. However, your discussion on that part of the topic is kinda one sided. You act like I basically came out of nowhere and said those things. When I first brought up the idea, Josh replied 13 minutes later and straight out said "no". He didn't offer any explanation as to why, didn't offer the possibility of discussion or consideration, nor did he tell me that the idea had already been discussed. So what am I supposed to do? If you go to a bank and ask for a bank loan and they say "no" and offer no real reasoning, wouldn't you be curious as to why you can't get it? And wouldn't you be agrivated if they kept dodging your questions and telling you "if you aren't happy with our service, you can leave"? It's not the fact that Josh said no to my idea the entire time, it was his attitude about this and his attitude in the past during various situations. He has an attitude when he is doing his moderator duties. Call me paranoid or whatever but I'm not the only one that sees it.
Going back to your car/apartment scenarios that I didn't comment on because I thought you were just mentioning them to prove your point, I didn't think you wanted me to tell you that I read them. You asked me: "If you borrow somebody's car, and they ask you to keep it clean, do you bring it back trashed out? When you sign an apartment lease, do you tear out the kitchen cabinets and build your own despite what the lease says you can do re modifications?"
Yes, you're right. But when you loan your car to someone, you are at a loss for yourself right there. If you never loaned your car to anyone, you'd probably be happier. You don't need other people to enjoy your own car. With these boards, the administrators need people here in order for the boards to be successful. And if they are rude or whatever toward the boards people, the boards could eventually fail. I'm not saying that they're going to fail because they didn't give in to "my demands" (as you call them). But in my opinion, I personally think Josh could have handled the situation of my request better than he did. That's just my opinion. Maybe I'd be a worse moderator than him, who knows? I've never moderated anywhere before. If you want to form a town and are mayor and appoint various people to "police" the town and people eventually start moving in, they won't appreciate it if the "police" people "abuse" them. (the quotes are a lack of a better word). If the mayor of my town came up to me and told me "If you don't like the rules of this town, you can leave", I'd probably be a bit taken aback by that comment as it is pretty rude. The main reason why I'm still at these boards is because there are nice people here (most of the people are) and the discussions are interesting. I'm not going to leave because some moron suggests it to me. Nor am I going to accept everything he/she does if I don't think it is fair.
As for the Canadian racist thing. I used the word "racist" because I couldn't think of a better word that would apply. I know Canada isn't their own race. I think a better word for it now would have probably been " discriminatory" or something along those lines. Maybe you can think of a better word. Either way, the point of whatever it was I was trying to say still stays the same.
Finally, on the topic of the whole Canadian Forum thing. I'm over that now. I've realized that my problem with the boards was probably just the simple disorganization of them. This place is still new and I'm sure they're still working out the bugs of it and stuff. What goes where still isn't completely clear but it's getting there. I just thought that at the time, the Canadian Forum would have been a good idea that could have worked and although it would still be nice to see, it's not a big deal because certain people who ARE interested in discussion on Canadian music discussed their side of it that the idea WASN'T a good one.
However, I still haven't clearly figured out why some people decided to join in on the discussion when they clearly have no interest in Canadian music or Canadian radio or anything like that. The only reason I can think of why they said "no" is to make my idea fail thus making me lose the "argument" or whatever you call it. I mean, are you interested in Canadian music and radio at all? Is Edf85 interested? I know Edf isn't based on some of the things he's said in the past on these boards about Canada so why was he so wrapped up in the whole idea and trying to make sure it didn't pass?
Even if the forum WAS created, it had NOTHING to do with you guys. If you aren't interested, you wouldn't have had to go in there. If you lobbied now to create a Hard Rock/Metal forum and had a few other people interested in the idea too, who am I to vote against it if I have zero interest in Hard Rock and Metal music? It's not my place. My opinions aren't valid in the situation. That's probably why I'm slightly bothered by half of the people that voted "no" against my idea. It had no effect on them, they just wanted to see me fail. It's too bad for them that they have nothing better to do.
Since I think I answered all of your questions, I don't think there is anything else to add to this place so it's probably fair to say this topic can be locked.

Sorry but a Canadian forum sounds like a really stupid idea. Why not separate every single type of music into its own forum?? We could have about 500 different forums and everybody would be happy!

Well, we already have a separation of music based on where the music comes from (or is a hit). I personally think my reasons above were pretty good reasons but alas, it's no big deal anymore.

If it's no big deal anymore, why are you still complaining about it? Why are you always coming in and asking why I'm still discussing it? I'm replying to people that reply in here. So what?
