From friends on French music forum, I would say that 60% is rather disappointed coz they expected more pop/disco album as she was announcing...

I'm listening to this right now too, for maybe the third time. I must say I agree - there weren't many standouts. I enjoy the first track and Come With Us. I've had the album on in the background as I work and it just seems like one tempo from the beginning to the end.

I was listening to the album whole afternoon - so, 3,4,5 times at least
It is nice but that's it
It is good as a background music when you're doing something ( arranging stamps or looking the old photo albums and similar) or even as a calming music before bed
which is not Sophie I am happy to find
anyway, I give *****
she missed top 10 in UK

Are people here allergic to starting new threads?  Anyway this is now #63 on US Spotify. So it seems like her first ever Hot 100 entry could be a real possibility. Not sure how high she'd need to be with zero airplay to guarantee a chart placing. Maybe they'll re-push it to pop like they did Running Up That Hill? |

I hope this gets a proper radio push similar to Running Up That Hill, but does Sophie even have a US Record label to promote it? I don't think she's had her albums officially released stateside in a long time, possibly ever?

It wasn't just not popular in the US, it was nonexistent. They didnt release it here until almost a year into its run, and nobody was here for that kind of dance music in the US in 2002.

Universal got the rights and put in a half-hearted effort after Kylie crossed over with "Can't Get You Out of My Head" but clearly it didn't go anywhere (and they took too damn long as YourFaveIsAFlop mentioned - the CD maxi single came out in Oct 2002). Maybe radio PDs thought a song with Murder in the title was too controversial in an immediate post-9/11 landscape. |

Yeah, the Kylie comeback was a total fluke that was way out of line with what was popular at that time, I still don't quite understand how they managed to get Can't Get You to hit. Love at First Sight was riding its coattails or else it would have done no better than Come Into My World.

all you need is one hit and it can make you money for a lifetime! I kept hearing this in tik tok videos but thought it was just a random surge, I had no idea it was featured in a movie. I'm happy she is having success again.
