"Amor Prohibido" is on the album? "Amar Sin Ser Amada" is #6 in Mexico!

I'm trying to hold off on previewing anything more on this album, but I can't wait to buy it on Tuesday.
Is Thalia doing any more promotions this week for her album release besides "Christina"?

What's everyone's prediction on where she'll land on the Billboard 200? She'll probably hit #1 on the Latin charts, but I'm curious as to whether or not she'll crack the top 50.

Do you think she's a lock for #1 on the latin chart? Her last spanish album debuted at less than 22k. So, it will depend on how far Shakira's album falls I guess. She's releasing "No" video tomorrow, so that should help her sales.

I'm not sure she'll debut at #1 on Top Latin Albums. I saw her on Escandalo TV today. (repeats @ 1:30 AM on Telefutura, in case anyone wanted to see it...she wasn't on til the end, if I remember correctly.) She won't make the Top 50 on the BB200 for sure.

which last spanish album did 22k? the Greatest Hits, or Thalia?
i hope she can get #1 on the Top Latin Albums chart.. i'm not sure how she might do on the BB200, i don't see why she couldn't make Top 50 though
there was a lot of promotion today.. Cristina, interviews on El Gordo Y La Flaca, Primer Impacto, Al Rojo Vivo, Ventaneando.. and tomorrow will be Despierta América and i think more on Escandalo TV.. she has the album signing at K-Mart in NYC tomorrow too
and i heard she'll be on No Manches, Otro Rollo, and La Parodia, but not sure of any dates yet
"Amar Sin Ser Amada" is finally doing well on the Hot Latin Tracks chart.. it was #14 last week, this week it's the Greatest Gainer jumping to #3.. woohoo!

The less than 22K debut was for Thalia. I don't know how much the Greatest Hits debuted at. It's good to see that she's doing some more promotion for her album and that her single is climbing the charts finally.

unfortunately, IMO... this album lacks a lot... it could have been so much better... very disappointing... for someone who brags about how tommy mottola "wrote the book of entertainment" in the US, he sure is not giving her good advice..
she needs to work on her accent b/c she sounds awful on the english version of "Amar Sin Ser Amada"...
i expected a lot more from her.. she can do so much better.. :(

So maybe it won't debut higher than 150. For the Latin charts, I totally forgot about Shakira.

This should sell better than the GH though. Then again, I saw her all over TV that whole first week, and she had a bigger hit attached to it at the time. (Well, "Cerca de Ti" was also on her 2003 album.)
Just hoping for a Top 100 debut. If she doesn't debut high, that just means she'll have more longevity. Nu Thali!

She should hang around until she sells her usual multi-platino numbers overall, regardless of how high she debuts.

Was "Un Alma Sentenciada" the song she performed on Christina right at the end? I really liked that song.

I have to say that my favorite Thalia album is "En Extasis". "Piel Morena" and "Gracias a Dios" are my favorite Thalia songs to name a few. This album was just disappointing to me in many ways. Most of which I listed in my previous post. I don't mean to knock her or anything like that, but I really did hope her new material would be more deep lyrically and vocally. Yeah her vocals are better on this album, but I wouldn't particularly say "belting". I really wasn't too enthused with "Amar sin ser amada". However, that all changed when the remixes came out. They are hot!!! Hopefully she'll do well. I hope she does. Just a tad bit disappointed. But lots of love to her!!

Empezar De "0" is good lyrically, a good message, and that's the one Thalia wrote on her own, which is nice and yeah maybe i shouldn't say belting vocals, but there's some nice held out, long strong notes in a lot of the songs i'm anxious to find out for sure what the next single is

oh, and Thalia didn't make a Reggaeton song, it's just a Reggaeton remix of "Amar Sin Ser Amada" which was available if you pre-ordered the album on iTunes
here's Billboard's review of the album, very nice :)
THALÍA Album Title: El Sexto Sentido Producer(s): Estéfano Genre: LATIN Label/Catalog Number: EMI Latin Release Date: July 19 Source: Billboard Magazine Originally Reviewed: July 30, 2005
Following her modestly successful crossover effort, Mexican diva Thalía returns to Spanish with an album that's alternately playful and soulful. "El Sexto Sentido" is dominated by uptempo, airy pop, easy to digest ("24,000 Besos") and easy to envision on airwaves and dancefloors. International—rather than Latin—in sound, it is deliberately accessible to European audiences and clubgoers, who can connect to either the Spanish tracks or their English counterparts and who will find that songs like "Sabe Bien" are sultry rather than bubble gum. With first single "Amar Sin Ser Amada," Thalía also seeks to satisfy Latin radio with an upbeat track that harks back to previous hit singles. But most distinctive are the two ballads—"Loca" and "Un Alma Sentenciada"—that highlight a surprising depth of expression, aided by fine lyrics. —Leila Cobo

I just purchased Thalia's new CD and I am enjoying it quite a bit. This is my first Thalia CD besides her Greatest Hits, so I don't have any other CDs to compare it to, but I like it. The first four songs are great. I would guess "Un Alma Sentenciada" will be the second single, followed by "Seducción".
On a side note - "Amar Sin Ser Amada" has jumped to #3 on the Latin Hot Tracks chart behind "La Tortura". And Thalia's album debuted at #2 on the Latin Albums chart and #63 on the Billboard 200 chart (which I think is her highest peak ever on this chart for a Spanish album).
