I am hoping Mariah has a comeback....a REAL one.
Janet...she needs to wrap it up and stay in the studio for a year and come back next summer.....and stop writing about sex and pick a social issue in the world.
I dont think Whitney has anything left to comeback with
All in all i think Madonna will have the biggest comeback. With the re-invention tour she realizes what her fan want from her they want to dance and feel good, if she wasnt planning on giving it to them i doubt she would be doing this tour. So i expect big things for her return....she has alot to prove next time around.....Also "Me Against The Music" was a step forward from "Amerian Life"

Anita Baker
That woman has such a fanbase. As long as she stays faithful (which she has), she should push a few million copies on her name alone.

Anita Baker should have a nice comeback, but I voted for TLC with their Left-Eye replacement! The controversy surrounding their Fox TV show alone will help it shift a million in its first week. Go TLC!

why is Monica on the list? her comeback was a year ago and it was decent.
Brandy's is hard to say... the lead single really underperformed, missing top 10 R&B with the lead isn't good news.
anita's comeback is going to be as big as conceivable for her style.
so far mariah's is promising, but not a sure thing.
whitney, TLC, and madonna are more or less done. maybe they can hope for a late-career Cher like hit...

I say Janet or Madonna. I picked Janet since she has the age advantage. I think Madonna will come back, though as a success in other areas.

I picked Madonna. Mariah can't. She's tried two or three times and hasn't been able to do it then so I really don't think she can anymore.

I pu tmonica on the list because she has already made 1 comeback with her single after "knock knock" failed, and it seems she has a promosing chance at an even bigger comeback the next g round. She said on 106 and Park she will be recording over the summer.

Madonna is the kind of artist who could easily come back with a great song at the right time and have it hit #1 worldwide and result in a smash album that the critics love and that sells well. So I pick her.

Never count out Madonna. Just when you think you have her down, she finds a way to come back and does it big.

Madonna Janet or Anita.
They seem to be the only ones people are still excited to hear singles from even if they are flop singles.

Mariah has tried several times and still hasn't come back yet. The reason I voted Janet is becuase she has the most formats of those artists listed...so she will probably have the biggest comeback when it is all said and done.

Anita, by far. It's been more than 10 years since we've heard from her. However, I cannot rule out Madonna, Janet, TLC or others that are getting polled. Whoever really makes the comeback, will do exceptionally well and not only that, their fanbase will remain loyal.

If Cher could, I'm the least bit worried that we won't hear from her again. Rumor has it that her next album will be headed back to AC, should be interesting.

I voted Mariah, just because she is considered more hip than the others.
I like Madge a lot better, though

I picked Madonna. Mariah can't. She's tried two or three times and hasn't been able to do it then so I really don't think she can anymore. Mariah didn't try to come back 2 or 3 times.lol Her Glitter soundtrack album was her first flop and wasn't a 'comeback' attempt so it doesn't count. 'Charmbracelet' was the first album 'after' the flop so that makes it only one time at that point.
