Huge at Canadian CHR/POP... and is getting decent rotation at Much Music and MuchMOREMusic. Now can someone tell me if this is the same Divine Brown who was arrested for giving Hugh Grant a blowjob? And the Same divine brown who was charged with prostitution, and latter appeard on Judge Judy? PS. Why isn't she released in the states? OH yeah.. and the song is actually very good.

Haha, I saw the title, and I was thinking "Isn't she a hooker?"

Canadian AC stations jumped on this very quickly, which is surprising since the song is an R&B slow jam.
She's from Toronto and has toured as a background vocalist for Nelly Furtado. So, definitely not the infamous one.

She's currently starring in the Toronto production of Ain't Misbehavin'. No relation to the Hugh Grant incident. Also, the title is spelled "Old Skool Love", from her forthcoming CD which drops next week.

The fact that this is doing well at CHR is increadible. It is currently the number one played CAN CON song on Canadian CHR/POP

I heard this about a month ago and it was terrible. It sounded like the type of song that is only played because of CanCon.

I disagree. I think this would do well in the states as well If it is released in the US, it will most likely be a HUGE hit on Urban and Urban Ac.

I'm not a fan of this type of music or the song but, for Canadian R&B, this song is actually pretty good. I think it is a great song and could do well if released to American R&B. Depends on what image Divine Brown has. I don't know anything about her.

She was on MuchonDemand the other day, and she is a very likeable person! Great personality, and great sense of presence. I hope this is released in the states.

still miss that ol skool love, not quite that good no more, this is what r&b is missing, singers who just sang and regardless of the beat their singing over, can carry a song based on sheer talent rather than how much bells &whistles are in a song.

It's nice to hear this song on Hot AC. It mixes things up a little bit. Though the multi-format play of this song is leading to overplaying, since it's on Pop, Hot AC, and AC. It's still Top 15 in all three, and #6 on AC.
